- Here is the first of the 18ish videos showing the directions, cut and score lines for the OSW video I shared previously using double sided, non-directional 12” x 12” cardstock.
Cut: 1” strip (top or bottom), then cut that in half at 6”
Score: (on the 12” length” at 4” and 8”
Turn 90, score: 5 1/2”
Score: top right only, either 8 1/8” or 8 1/4”
Cut: bottom left panel; from the 4” score mark at the bottom to the 5 1/2” score mark in the center.
Cut: bottom center panel from bottom to center, then along center score to remove bottom right panel.
Cut: the removed bottom right panel to 2 1/2” wide
Cut: top right panel to between 2 1/4” and 2 3/4” (based on paper needs). In the video I cut at 2 1/2”.

Very cute. Idk how hard it would be. But it might be helpful for us learning if we # the main panels so we don’t confuse ourselves. I can hear Gayle saying now “this hurts my brain!” Love it but I’m gonna need to rewatch and pause as I go. Thanks for sharing Cori!
Great idea to number the panels. I'll give that a try with the next one. Thank you!

Oh Corey I absolutely love the shabbychic looking one its just gorgeous. Reminds me of the designer Cath Kidston. You make the most beautiful things ❤
Thank you 💕
Very nice construction. Will be fun to make it.
I hope you enjoy the process 😊
Love it!
Thanks!!
Love this,xx
Thank you Wendy!
Thank you!
I am so happy that you decided to continue with the one sheet wonder series. I have a tip for you I drew lines on the underside of my circle punch. I put centre lines horizontal and vertical, from there I drew another set an 1/8" up from the centre line. That way when I cut my divots they are always the same. Measure once cut as many times as I like
Excellent tip. Thank you Coni!
Hi there Cori! Your instructions are wonderful. I watched the video to get the ‘gist’ and will create along with you later. Stellar idea to use plain paper for the instructional part but also was helpful when you referred to the patterned completed project. How you figure these things out is amazing to me! So glad we have you to teach us. So hot here, even the squirrels are sweating. Jayne from NorCal 🥵🥵
I saw that it was 114-115 in my beloved Sonoma County... yikes! Growing up there, we had one or two days a year that neared 100, but they were few and far between. I can't even imagine that type of heat as many/most don't have A/C! I hope you and the squirrels are nice and cool!
I made several of these today with variations. The one I like the best is a pocket instead of a belly band, and I sewed a note-paper signature into the right fold (the two close score lines). I made an expandable pocket for it in my current journal project.
*Thanks for sharing* 👍🙂
So cool that you easily altered it to make it work for you! Great ideas 😊
Hi Cori 🙋🏼♀️

Have fun Miss Judith!
Love you gir💕🙏🏼🌷 Keep it real
Thank you Wendy ♥️
Great idea. I’m going to try making one with atlas page.
That could be a lot of fun! Just remember that some things will be upsidedown ....which could be very cool.
💜💜💜
I’m in the middle of creating this one ❤
Excellent!
Love the video Cori! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m curious about the book you are using to hold the folders and how you stitched them in. Thank you.
Thank you Christine. It is very similar to the wildflower book and the Take flight journal I made for Tracie Fox.
I could not find anything for Katie or Craft Baked Journals. Do you have a link? Never mind, found it “craft baked studio” thank you! As always love your work!
Love your art work!!! You’ve mentioned you’ll “place this in the shop”, during your videos. Do you have a shop that I can access to view your art work,eg Etsy, etc???
Thank you Lydia. I do have a shop, www.etsy.com/shop/CreatingWithScraps
Darn thing is empty right now, but I have items almost ready to list.
Loved the construction of this one sheet wonder. Question: on your decorated version, did you mat the colored papers onto the cardstock? The way you decorated it was pretty awesome.
I had some cut aparts in the kits I’d bought at a yard sale, so I used those pieces for the decorative extras. Thank you 😊
@@CoriDahmen For clarification, I asked if you matted the decorative papers to plain construction paper, or did you just use the decorative papers to create this project and did not use construction paper as your base?
@@l.harvey8243 so sorry. I misunderstood your question. I used double sided, non directional cardstock as the base. The only matting or mounting that occurred was for the writing inserts.
Ditto, ditto ....
This looks so fun! I wish we could hear all of the instructions. I have my phone and tablet volume all the way up and you still sound muffled. Anyone else have this problem hearing her? Its not just my phone..the 3 other gals here cant hear her well either on their phones.
Is fine at normal volume on my tablet Amy... 🤔 Cori does bump her mic a couple of times when she's reaching over but her words are still clear.
There are some measurements and basic instructions listed in the description which might be useful - it does look fun doesn't it!
I always have to turn my volume up to hear her.
I'm sorry. I did add a microphone and try to keep my volume up. Some can hear well and others have to turn up their volumes. I'm not sure why!
I'm sorry I can't hear you very well. My volume is at maximum. Your project is neat and I'd like to make it. Thanks.
I've since purchased a portable microphone, so I hope future videos are a bit easier to hear. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi Cori just letting you know the volume is very low so a little hard to hear your instructions. Many thanks for sharing . Cheers Judy
Thank you Judy. Another person said that and others have said they can hear it fine. I wish I knew why!
Too much fussiness
I love offering a variety of ideas.
