Nice video! I think the Whitins offer a great value and a few models like this one actually look fairly decent. Not having to pay $200 like the Vibram barefoot shoes is a major bonus.
Whitin if you’re listening, if you just stitch the soul instead of glue, most people would happily pay the price difference which I assume cannot be that much. Barefoot shoes have a problem because the soles are so flexible and if you glue the soul, it will separate rather quickly for active users. Also, having a thicker soul isn’t a bad thing. Most people would be fine with a little more meat in the soul, as it would make it more durable and a bit more of a sturdy which I think there is a huge market for.
How is the midfoot on the inside of the foot? It looks rather narrow. See that contour? I have Lems that look like that, and it feels like I am standing on hard plastic on the sides of my arches, it is awful. Can you feel that on the inside of the shoe? I know my Lems raise up and down, sharply, at that point.
I dont know about the hi tops but they were true to size in the low canvas. protip when ordering shoes is to know and use your EU size. Then check the manufacture sizing and buy based on your proper EU size. In Whitin and many more brands they don't make 1/2 sises so they list as 10-11 or 9-10. etc...again go with your EU size and basically ignore the American sizing. I wear 44 EU which is almost always a 10 1/2 but depending on make or model can somtimes be a 10 or 11. I would suggest looking at all your current shoes and figure that good ol' EU size.

Great video! Had no idea they made some high-top sneakers, may have to get some.
I've been looking for a nice high rise, affordable, shoe. I will buy the black version. Whitin has 2 versions of the high rise. Nice review.

Nice Update video when?
I have to have them for a while!
How’s the sizing? Should I go regular or half size down or up?
For me I ordered my standard size of 12 and it felt like a 13 until I laced them up and walked around in them. I’d go your standard size.
