I feel like Bird's first win might be when Ekusu has his first loss. Something like Multi wins, Ekusu loses, and then Bird is forced to put all of his practice into use. Multi being the one to lose would also work but personally I think Ekusu losing would give Bird more pressure for his battle and make his first victory more satisfying.
I think they want to build kazami bird character slowly. So we can feel the hard work on this character. We can say every protagonist on beyblade always win at episode 1 or 2. This character also can inspire the people who love beyblade but always lose at tournament.
I have a theory on how bird will start winning, I think that there's going to be a tag battle of some sort and Bird will ask Multi for help in order to try and be of use to the team, Multi and Bird will design hellschain. And this would show character development for both characters as Multi could begin to collaborate and get more attached to her teammates and and Bird would use the opportunity to become his own blader and use a bey that fits his style of blading
This is my theory on Beyblade X: Aside from being the "Rantaro" of the series. Basically losing to new beys to have something for them to show their gimmick BUT also be act as the Underdog of the team like Valt. I have strong feeling he would eventually be on same level as Kamen X 2. Kamen is both: Cool, "OP" guy (like Shu or Kai) and act as a mentor to Bird but also act as a SpongeBob to the Squidward (Bird). Basically forming comedy from having Bird react to his absurd action 3. Multi is the the pro blader. While she isn't on level of Kamen X. I can see she is meant to both act as a mentor for Bird and be something for competitive nerds to relate to. She use multiple beys, advanced launch etc
Bird is basically the reverse of Gingka from Metal Fight. Remember that Bird is the main character of Beyblade X, sharing the spotlight with two other main faces of the series. I hope he gets good eventually too, but we'll see. And hopefully they do it right and not like what they did with Gingka or Valt, where he suddenly becomes so OP overnight or something. Bird needs to gradually get better and better, more like how Tyson got better and better overtime. Trial and Error is best way for a character like Bird to truly grow!
Im from the future... He's like officially 0-49 right now. If we include all of his battles outside the tournament including the training, some reddit user counted everything to 0-500+
I'm from even further in the future, and Bird STILL HASN'T HAD A SINGLE WIN IN THE WHOLE ANIME(series) all we got was bird winning 1 round against Kamen Y
I don't mind that he loses in the beginning as long as it's not his only purpose where his wins are against insignificant opponents. They could do something where the final battle is Bird vs X and Bird wins after a tough fight to show how far he has come
I don't mind that he loses, I mind how the manga treats those losses, that is the focus for my issue with it, they need more scenes or direction to build for Bird right now or really build towards payoff
It has been months since this video came out, and as of now, in the anime, Bird STILL hasn't won a match! This isn't just a manga problem. it's a Bird problem. Honestly I think the writers just hate him and only want X to be the protagonist
Honestly, we need to remember Beyblade X isn't Beyblade Burst. Direct comparison wouldn't really work as they did in Burst Seasons Maybe mangaka wants to have a completely different take from previous seasons. Bird is the underdog. I have strong feeling by the end of series all 3 will be equal
Yeah it really does give off that impression. It’s always weird seeing mangas having the main characters be the least favorite charcters for the authors.
While it makes sense that Bird loses so much by just not being actually a "pro" blader, the show shoots itself in the foot with that narrative over and over again. Battles lose tension as you know how it plays out before it even starts, Bird is often the one that gets into conflicts and when you think he might battle against someone and have his moment, Kamen X steps in and plays the hero. I really enjoy bird and at the start, the same could be said for X, but the more Bird loses and X wins, I dislike both more and more. While I still have my heart attached to Bird, who I do connect with, X feels like the douchebag, that always gets what he wants. He doesn't feel like someone you can attach yourself to. And that's the problem I think. We got a team where 2/3 of it is 1. An absolute amateur and the second is someone who already was on top with leaving Multi to be the only actually interesting character despite the fact that not much has been done with her.
It’s funny how bird has been losing so much that it’s gotten to the point where people started to question if he was originally even the main character of the X series (or at least if he is at this point in the story). Now I’ve seen a fair amount of people convinced Kamen X the MC due to how unbelievable Bird’s losing streak is.
Like a little kid playing a comp video game and joining a team of pros. Dude needs to start the grind. I can understand some of the lack of training in the manga due to the page constraints but I do hope at some point they at least show him practicing in the manga. I’m hoping a training facility or a team training session or something. Ideally I would like to him take the initiative on his own. I’d like to see him struggle with being the weakest link.
I feel like this whole thing is just building up to a character arc for Bird later on, with him wanting to become stronger to not drag the team down, especially since they actually bring attention to Bird not being a very good blader. Bird is one of the three main characters of the show, and since the main team only has 3 people, I don't think they can afford to make one lose every battle and still make the fights interesting. If they do that, every battle with Team Persona is essentially just gonna be X and Multi battles. It just doesn't make sense from a writing perspective. But then again they made Dynamite Battle so who knows lol
Depends on payoff for endgame is what I 100% agree with, but also they need what actual build up, Bird just losing in the manga is not exactly building like lets say if this was the anime season
I think previous Beyblade Characters were materialized from professional boxers and their win loss record: Eder Jofre - Ryuga. Oscar De La Hoya - Free De La Hoya. Eric Crumble - Bird Kazami.
I think the idea of a blader that doesn’t know what he’s doing battling to get better is great, but I don’t believe that the anime or the manga is doing it. He’s shown little to no improvement which is a problem. I believe they could improve this by simply allowing him a win in some sort of filler episode against multi or maiden! He then uses that as his motive to improve further (they do some time skip shenanigans) and he evolves (or moves on from) scythe!
I really thought they were going to give bird a win in the latest chapter due to multi using wizard arrow and not smth more recent like lance. (Ik she would’ve been putting herself at a disadvantage but still) Would’ve been the perfect way to give him a win in the second or third round.
Honestly I don't want Bird to be another Blindt DeVoy from Burst cause Blindt didn't win a single battle in Rise at all Come on guys, Let Bird win one battle
I think that whenever a new blader shows up Bird shouldn't be the first one to fight at all the author should rotate between Multi and Kamen to make them fight first against a new blader.
While I do like the unique idea of him being a proper rookie, I feel like the manga needs to improve him more over time. Not necessarily make him win yet, but maybe getting closer and closer to winning, but is getting there. His loss against RhinoHorn felt meaningless by comparison. I was disappointed on how HellScythe's doing since I want it to win at least once before we get to HellsChain. I feel like once we get to the final team, Bird and Multi will win while their ace blader Ekusu will lose, for the purposes of the narrative and to create tension.
Bird’s biggest weakness is that he emulates Korusu X way too much the same way how Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai emulates Cobra Kai by falling into the mentality of “No Mercy” in the first season. Once Bird realizes that it won’t help him at all, then he needs to come up with his own blading skills (using HellChain as a “practice” bey, until he eventually finds his potential) by becoming Kazami Bird, not Kamen X.
I think bird's bey is very strong is why they wouldn't let him win at all because if he were to win I think the viewers wouldn't enjoy it much?. I'm not sure but it DID upset me when he KEPT losing like he sucks or something.
So if going off the manga is correct then I honestly don't see any potential in Bird. Starting off it shows in both the manga and anime that the guys' only strategy is either "hit hard" or "copy Ex" like you can see little glimpes of him changing strats on the fly but it just feels as if he is headstrong in thinking that just attacking is gonna make him win. What sucks even more is that he is using a balanced type bey for attacking in which that is something it can be used for, but only attacking makes the dude looks like he never thought of HellScythe as a BALANCED TYPE. The damning thing is that in the anime we see Bird training and yet in the next episode *Episode 5 spoilers btw* he just straight up gets creamed by Ex in a practice match without even a fight. At this point I can't even take Bird seriously and manga Bird is pretty much the same if not worse. Not only is he losing but he is getting super carried by his teammates. The other two characters (Ex and Multi) I can see having a natural win/loss rate but Bird: That guy seems basically hopeless until he gets a bey upgrade. Finally why the heck did they name him Bird and proceed to not give him a bey that reflected his aesthetic. Like they were really close with strikehawk and honestly I felt like him learning the fun of beyblade again being akin to freedom would fit a more bird style aesthetic and yet they gave this dude HellScythe: Something that would be more akin to a villian's bey and (for me at least) symbolizes the power of a reaper "down" to hell much like how Bird is on a major losing streak with his path only seeming to go further down. Anyways, with that rant out of the way, Bird does seem like a complete rookie on the pro stage but with how one sided the fights feel I just can't even look at Bird celebrating without thinking that he was also the reason why they almost loss. Also this just feels like a cheap form of suspension with bird losing as either the first or second blader. They need to show Bird getting better or he'll be the first protagonist known for losing more than being a beyblader.
It wld have been nothing if bird wasn't marketed as a main character, if u guy's remember bird was like the main character and X is his rival ,that's how they marketed him.. but now he's just nothing
the reason why bird is losing in beyblade is that he has a mental block and not taking it seriously he loves beyblade, but he isn't taking it seriously unless kamen x takes a L

By all means, the goal of the series is currently X's fairly simple goal of facing off against his former team. Bird is along for the ride and riding on his coattails since the series' competitive structure makes it so one unstoppable player could carry a sorry squad to the top. The thing about payoffs is that they get better and better the more you delay them. With that said, we should probably remember that this *is* written by the Kakegurui writer. Kakegurui's tritagonists are handled in an eerily similar way to Beyblade X. The video is based around the treatment of loss since Bird is losing, makes sense to why that happens, but more over the issue is mostly how it gets too much of a gag for how the chapters are doing, I think the manga could benefit with putting more scenes like the anime where they build on Bird for development, that is the focus right now the manga needs
