@@mrbellows8408 Thanks man! And I have seen the Marcus King Band live 3 times and they melt my brain every single time. Thats awesome you got to see him do this!
@@Jay91Byrd awesome! Yes, he is one of the best live shows to catch. Definitely brain melting. Makes me want to stop playing guitar and practice more at the same time haha
I slowly converted from the Les Paul to PRS to the Strat, and now happily converted and staying with the Tele. The first mass produced electric guitar from Leo Fender got it right.
@@Rishino Tell me about it. I got into an argument with some idiot because I was saying Phillip Sayce is good but how about trying to be original. He is trying to be SRV. This guy argued with me that he wasn't an SRV clone. Listen to him he so obviously is.
Marcus is one of the most promising players of this generation. I think it’s pretty fkn awesome that more people my age are playing stuff like this. I think he’s a little younger then me but it don’t matter
I was wondering the same thing. I've seen Marcus play live a few times and I've never seen him play a strat. I think he played it on a tele simply because he generally doesn't have a strat he tours with.
Marcus is undeniably a good guitar player, I just wish he would back away from SRV songs. He will never be as good as SRV because he does not have the stage presence nor the charisma, Being a good, or even great, guitar player ain't enough. You gotta have that something extra that some folks have and the rest of us don't.
We all die two deaths, the first in our earthly bodies the second is when our names are spoken for the last time. I hope everyone continues to play srv no matter how good or bad they play him.
It‘s so nice he plays the tune in his own way and thats great !!
My man, you just did the legend justice. Just took that mega tune and made it yours you killed it in my opinion
This is bad ass! I think he put his own spin on it rather than a note for note cover. He knows there was only one SRV. More like an homage.
This guy is just beyond awesome.
I saw an unknown band play this at my local last weekend. This was their opening track and i was stunned at the talent. So good!
Badass guitar hero, wonderful singer, great musician
I saw Marcus Live a couple of years ago. He's amazing!!! and getting better!!
Thank you for sharing this. Stevie and Marcus are 2 of my absolute favorite guitar players. This is awesome!
It was pretty awesome to see live. And you sir have good taste!

wow, that is one hell of a tune to play. SRV would be impressed. loved the solo.
Killed it 👍 Great southern rock artist!!

One of the best new talents out there, too bad he’s not getting better exposure
Wow!! Great talent!
It takes balls to play that tune. He definitely ain’t Stevie but still awesome
He was only 22 years old here... Give him a few more years. When Clapton kicks the bucket, this guy will be the new King.
And thank god for that. There are way too many SRV clones out there. I sigh every time I see someone bring a Strat to a blues jam..

@@mcampbell5158 I have to agree with you. It gets so old, you've seen one, you've seen em all.
True, he has his own style and feel and its unreal. Srv was balls out but I’d put MK up there with anyone ever really.
That’s one hell of a style there, nice
Fantástic
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Love it !
Awesome playing and it's crazy watching that middle finger fly around
This guy reminds me of Toy Caldwell of the old Marshall Tucker Band, a little. I really like this guy, so glad I found him out today.
Excellent ! Bravo !
I saw him open up for Chris stapleton in Nashville last Saturday hes amazing

Marcus King, and Ally Venable!
😎❤
SRV 👏👏👏👏👍🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇧🇷.
Their set at the Holiday Inn on Thursday during happy hour is good too. Seem down to earth and drinks are half price
I think the cover sounds better than the original.
those some hot licks man !!!
A tele looks good on him
WITH JUST THE MIDDLE FINGER
Shit, that ain’t half bad!
That's as close to SRV I've ever seen. Well done, Marcus
Any idea why he covered SRV with a tele rather than a strat? Honest question.

se se nce manc nient.
Wow big shoe's to fill not Stevie but you killed it
Where's the 345?
Solo srevie poteva suonare questo brano.!!!!
That was Amazing. But in my Option it was a little too fast , But may be my ears ??
Kid is good. Playing Stevie on a Tele is SRV Blasphemy.
Right
stevie ray meets gary moore
not too bad, missing a little meat but still saucy
About the MLK guitar strap tho.
What about it?
Sounds like he’s doing it the wrong way around
Great try. There's only one Stevie but dam good try young man
a bit too fast for my tempo.
156 bpm. It’s correct, same as srv.
@@WegrennerX take it you've never seen whiplash.
Fast ! But it Makes No Sense
Stevie would laugh at this. That's not at all how you play that riff
He ain’t Stevie? Ha! Stevie ain’t him. Yeah
A little more practice and he might get pretty good...

Having people play their music helps keep it alive and introduces it to the next generation...this guy is good
This is Gawd awful. Epic fail!
Horrible ...si stevie resucitará y lo oyera de volvería a morir...horrible !!
