Although I had read the name 'Nurse With Wound' (via association of Steven Stapleton's work with Current 93, COIL and Foetus, et all) I'd never actually bothered to delve into their music. This reminds me a bit of Lustmord's 'Heresy' - an album I fall asleep to frequently that no one else I know can stand to listen to. Some people think of 'music' as a combination of rhythm, melody and harmony. Others (like me - and you - if you are listening to this) hear music in almost any kind of sound. Having said all that, I'm sure I'll be falling asleep to this soon. It's really odd but rather soothing at the same time.
I feel the same exact way about music. I've always heard music in everything around me for as long as I've been alive. Windshield wipers, construction noises, the loud, rhythmic clacking of a loose wheel on a pallet jack being pushed, or I'll automatically want to harmonize with a fan blowing, a trash compactor in the process of crushing the trash, etc. I feel that there are no rules for music, and anyone who pushes the envelope can help me to remember that about making art.
There are no bad frequencies! Its about understanding the music as a vibrations and frequencies. Usually those who trully feels such things are more ambicious musicians and listeners.
Well I did one better When DJing at wedding Reception Diamanda Galas Double Barrel Well The Champagne Flutes Nearly Shattered. Then Followed By Funeral music For Parez And then coil London's lost rivers
If I lived near a dark forest, I would go for walks there, late at night, while listening to this album on headphones. The problem is, I don't live near a dark forest.
Yeah. Me too ....I've got the box ...but top top post...I feel sympathy for people who don't GET these longform drones inspired by Tibetan bhuddist drones .among others.... you've got to open up to it. .puts me somewhere special... thankyou ....Mr Stapleton ...
@@christopherogley1714This is like the antithesis to Tibetan Buddhist chants in my opinion, whereas they are comforting because they come from a place of deep, human spirituality, this is something else entirely, a supernatural sound from beyond our conception.
As much as I appreciate the effort put into the upload and the visuals, the panning is off. The audio shouldn't sound this far panned to the left channel.
Just in case you dont know, Soliloquy is a discourse wich desenvelopes with oneself, it has the form of monologue, like unspoken reflections. Lilith was Adan's first wife, mother of arpies. The beast of the desert and also the beast of the island. In astrology it reflects the needs to rebel, the deepest anger, the desire to sexually control things. She decided to walk down from the paradise.
thank you crack magazine and ethel cain for this rec

The last track strongly reminds me of RE4

The album title refers to Stapleton and Rogerson's daughter Lilith who was born that year.
Top tier music to disassociate to
