I learned how to play most all of Edges guitar parts. I got so disillusioned because you have to get all the effects systems, delays, echoing etc all turned up right, it's not like playing the guitar really. Love to see Edge playing some classical or Spanish guitar without nine different guitars and seventeen different effects settings. Welsh wanker...

Yep Bono came up with it, it was called the Fat Boy riff according to U2byU2 biography
So the album version is E major but the live versions since the album came out were in G major with a capo on 3rd fret
