What's goin on today's video is telling a little bit about how i added a viper remote start system to my manual transmission mustang. I've got a 2013 mustang 5.0 with the MT-82 transmission. This is a good quality kit that i've been using for about 3 years now with no issues at all. There are a ton of options available for these types of kits but they all seem to be owned by the same parent company. The best deals i've seen on them have been around holidays, you can usually find them $100 or so off of the MSRP price. If you have any questions about this model or how it performs just let me konw. I need that.. last time I wanted to install.. they told me that if it's in gear and it starts I'd not they fault.. but here I see that if it's in gear it doesn't turn on
Nice Bro !! we love our remote start on Ruby , Great little upgrade . we're just like you we like Ruby fully warmed up also before jumping on her .Plus with the supercharger Ruby is very temperamental when she's cold.

Yeah I had that on my 14 gt. I had used the 3x lock for the remote start and added smart start to mine. Well worth the money!!

I dont think it matters. I believe i've done it both ways. I no longer own the car so not sure.
I just installed Viper system and they told me that it doesn't work for my 2014 mustang gt
What who the fuck is leaving there manual car in gear ???? I didnt see a hill i mean i get it what if parking brake fails and your in a hill but whos out there leaving it in gear parked 😂
Since you are supposed to park your manual car in gear, I think a remote start is not very smart.

Will this work for older late model manual transmissions? I dont drive a mustang but that's one grumble id love to hear while my coffee is brewing & fresh out the shower
Pro4yu haha! Im really not sure on the years, if i had to guess i’d say it would work maybe with some of the later 90’s models. That would be a good question for the owner of viper, or best buy.

You didnt see the product listed on the first line of the description? I didnt install this, best buy did. Pretty straight forward, go to best buy, ask for product, request installation.

Is there a remote start without the sequence for manual? I don’t leave my car in gear ever. I sometimes get into my car at work and don’t want have to redo the sequence every time.
I also already have a neutral safety switch bypass due to the switch going bad.

Let’s say you’re driving then stall at the light, will it start back up right away? Or is there a wait time?
sophana lorn starts up right away. After the car is cranked the sequence is over and its like a normal car.
You know any shops that do this? I have a Subaru STI with a built motor and I’d like to let it warm up before I drive off, especially in the winter. I called a place or two and they said they wouldn’t do a manual car.
Aside from Best buy, i would think maybe a specialty shop like an audio store? someone that specializes in wiring. Not too sure beyond a custom shop though.
What kind of exhaust do you have ?
Long tube headers, no cats, resonators in place, corsa extreme mufflers.
Cool but I have some weird ass Ford installed security system in my 13 GT an I’m worried if I install an auto start system it’ll really screw up the security system. You know anything about it ?
Unfortunately i dont. I’m sure an audio shop or best buy gets around factory security all the time.

I dont see why it wouldnt. Probably best to consult with Best Buy for what years the product would work on.

Do you have to do the sequence every time you want to remote start, or is it a 1 time thing?
Every time. Its honesty annoying. I dont have the car anymore but it is great like if youre putting the car up for the night and want it ready to start in the morning. Just getting in and out for like the grocery store or gas sucks for the sequence and its really not worth it. This same kit is on sale at best buy right now for black friday its the viper DS4. Probably get the kit and installation is included for under $300 id bet

I see ur rocking vipers ds4 im actually going to install it in my 14 at best buy but im going to program to turn my heated seat and rear defroster with the 2 way remote

How do you get it to turn on the heated seats? I would get an add-on that turns on my seats and adjusts the temp lol. Would be nice to have something that auto adjusts to the temp outside. I forget half the time and it's on 72 low/med power. Would love to have it say, "oh, it's could out, full blast max heat" or "oh, it's hot out, full blast coldest air".

Did you need just that system? Or did you require any other harnesses or accessories?
I don't recall buying anything extra, just that system. You can speak with the installer at best buy and he can tell you what all you need. It varies for different model years.

Those are svtpp performance pack shelby wheels. Came on the 10-12 shelbys with performance/track pack i believe. That particular wheel was made by ford racing, now ford performance. I sold those to itsjusta6 for his give away 07 gt500 lol
Did your remote come with mustang logo sticker or did you order separate I been looking for a logo for my remote
Mine actually came with it. Ive seen some companies that make “5.0” stickers you can put on the keys. I think i seen them on etsy or instagram

Unfortunately everytime, thats how the car knows its in neutral and ok to crank up. Kind of a pain, but def worth it for the ac/heat

It's the sequence that kills it for me.
Honestly 100% the same. Had i known how annoying it was, i wouldnt have done it.
It wouldn't be so bad if it was clutch in, foot on brake, set parking brake, let off clutch and brake, then shut off the car. That's what I do anyway. It's the whole holding down the button on the remote then hitting the button again to shut it off.
Can I do that in my self
naif qahtany i wouldnt recommend it. Quite a few harnesses and a lot of wiring. 3-5 hour job.
