      It's funny you mention that and it's not always true. Victor Axelsen knows his equipment inside out.
      I've seen the same from Kento/LCW/LD/KevinSS/Gideon etc.
      All the elite pro players know their stuff inside out. As Victor pointed out all those hours of training has paid off. I'm sure these lot must have spent hours and hours testing each racket to help them with their strengths and weaknesses.
      Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying an intermediate player like me can pick up 88S Pro and suddenly become a pro. And as it has been pointed out their game is different to ours.
      I actually feel that within their game, a racket change would be a big difference because a lot of the pros are at a similar level and the slightest differences can give you a massive advantage.
      Hence why it is interesting to note that even amongst Pros, the elites know their stuff inside out without hesitation.

    1. Players dont know what racket they use 3U/4U.. i understand it may not matter to them but the other point
    2. If you look at the string tension they are telling is most of the time more than maximum recommended 13kg, 14kg 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ why not choose a racket which allows that maximum weight?

    Your questions reflect a lot. They should know every detail of their equipment and show them whenever they got a chance. Their sponsor paid a lot not only for giving them equipment to play games. And the interview after the game is quite important(Look at F1 or golf), but badminton players look so rushed and ready to leave at any moment, seems like they are not properly trained to be a celebrity in sport.

    • @CKYew
      @CKYew  2 роки тому +3

    Viktor Axelsen is using higher main string tension than the cross string tension. In the following video.
    ua-cam.com/users/shortsc__eszrNq2w?si=X3Sh6wt5hJ5O41C9
    In your video he said [31x33] and the video reference I shared with you he said [33x32].
    It'll be really great and helpful if you could explain why he did this, as the standard recommendation is to have tighter cross strings over the main strings.

      If you didn't notice, most of the players know what string and tension they use. If you watch CK Yew's interviews with other players from other countries like Japan, most of them only know about their string and tension as well. This is because the racket they use can change quite often depending on what their sponsor provides. Also, they can change sponsors from Yonex to Victor, Lining, Mizuno etc. Therefore, the racket itself is not going to be that important. The most important aspects are Fitness, Footwork, Skill etc
