I agree. Have flown this route several times over the past few years and I love the BA 747s. There is just something majestic about them; the B777 just isn’t the same.
I have not flown on British Airways, but had been on 747-400s with Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, China Airlines, Malaysia Air, and China Easters. All were great in-flight experiences.
Most deffo! That sound (of the APU) that you hear when you're on the airbridge near the door is such an exciting thing! it makes my tummy butterflies jump...if that makes any sense?! Nothing like it, and only really works with a 747 don't you think?
Your footage of the London Bridge and Thames River, and the castle are well put together. The music is a nice touch as well. I was in London for about 5 days in May 2019 and loved it. Amazing views, and different than America. I also flew with British Airways, and thought they did a nice job. I'd love to go back to Europe one day, and your videos give me a glimpse of traveling, which is nice. Keep up the good work 👍
British Airways have just annouced that these classic planes are to be retired from their fleet. Now I will have to go to Lufthansa for a chance to fly on them.
I flew to Florida from Gatwick in the summer on a Virgin 747 (economy), frankly, it looked pretty much identical to BA. You get a seat, you get some food, you get some entertainment on a small screen in front of you, it takes hours.
Some great plane spotting at the start !! Thanks for the take off vision and sound...loved it !! Pretty good flight with BA by the look of it and some reasonable leg room at the back of the bus!! Well done as always and I look forward to your next adventure !!
i got the tail numbers of the plane from flightradar and planespotters helped me thats because southwest airlines has the same flight number from previous flights and tracked it coming in all my flights arrived early
Quentin, your photography at JFK before takeoff and also during the climb out was fantastic! I think it may be the best you have done so far! Keep up the good work! Take care and Happy Travels! ♥️🛫🌐
Cool video. I have done the SFO-LHR route several times on BA, and to your point, it was very hit-or-miss. When they were still flying the 747-400's, it was mostly a miss in Economy. However, since the A380's came online for that route, it was a definite hit for me--I paid a little more and always got one of the aisle and window seat pairs in the last couple of rows on the upper deck.
In late 1996 my family and I flew from Heathrow to Santiago de Chile in a brand new 747-400, also on British Airways. It would be too much of a coincidence if that plane was still around...
I flew that airline and plane to Amsterdam Schipol last year. Terminal 7 isn't especially comfortable, but I felt it exuded a quirky charm. Both outbound and return flight segments were enjoyable, even in main cabin - staff were incredibly kind and helpful.
Great video. Especially like the 🌇 views of Manhattan and that shot of the wing (15:00) with the stars was awesome. Flight looked packed. Read somewhere (Business Insider)?, that JFK-LHR is the only billion $ route in the world. Amazing when you think about it.
I’m going on a flight from London to New York 747 British Airways Economy and I have never been on British so I immediately went to you and surprisingly you made a video about it yesterday.
This is my first video I’ve seen of yours and I really enjoy the way you report. Airport, other classes and your seat and just overall easy and comprehensive review. Subscribed for sure 👍🏾
Great Job! wow you have really gotten professional and kudos for keeping it Aviation oriented. I feel like most of the other big aviation bloggers have sold out, they all speed up the takoff and barely show any footage that aviation fans love..
1st time watching your video and good job. Love the 747 and for a older plane it looks it good shape. Bummer BA did not offer a better Breakfast for an International Flight. Till the next video and thanks!
Very informative video mate!l think some these 747s have been refurbished as far as l know. Not a big fan of BA though, but,on the plus side, great to see the 747s in service👍!
Sad to see the ending of the B747 production. This my favourite aircraft. It's really sad to see it disappear. Maybe we can launch a worldwide campaign to ask going not to stop it.
i had lunch at moes southwest grill in dallas love field also in omaha got to park in the new and spacious north garage the only problem is its away from the terminal and have to walk more compared to the old south garage
Who is this Kelvin Seamount? Seriously, some great video of leaving New York at sunset! Wonderful! You actually made JFK look quite appealing! Nice shot of the Virgin B744 on its way to MAN in the fading twilight! I happen to be a big fan of the BA 747s and I have generally had good service on my flights to/from London. I may only have a few more chances to fly them, but I also want to try VS’s new A350s.
Great report as always Quintin. Quick suggestion. Music is good at times, but to be perfectly honest I much prefer when music is kept to an absolute bare minimum in trip reports, especially considering it played through nearly all of the taxi, climb, descent, and even meal service. A lot of us watch these videos to not only see how the trip was but also to feel like we're there, so music playing through most of the video kind of takes away from that. Just my two cents!
Love this video 😁 I’m looking into London to NYC for March 2021 & taking my parents & brother. I’ve never been & my parents have never been and I want them to experience it at least once in a lifetime. It’s gonna be expensive (may need a little loan) lol but it’ll be worth it 🙂🙏🏼
The 747 will always be close to my heart. A timeless classic
Jay Deshpande Yeah same!!!
I agree. Have flown this route several times over the past few years and I love the BA 747s. There is just something majestic about them; the B777 just isn’t the same.
Jay Deshpande amen brother amen
Its sad that BA have since got rid of them all.
the 747 has been cash for clunker 2 years ago.
8:20 - 8:23 the best shot of whole video: the all beacon amd taxiway lights flashing, the airplanes, the sunset, and the music. God it´s perfect

So sad that the 747 will be missed, it did a remarkable job thank you for your service
The spotting at JFK was awesome!
I just love this video great music big planes and sunset at jfk can't get any better
London is such a great place!
I have not flown on British Airways, but had been on 747-400s with Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, China Airlines, Malaysia Air, and China Easters. All were great in-flight experiences.
Nice trip. The 747 is still the best passenger aircraft to this day.
For an “ aging 747 “, the “ol Gal looks pretty good - Here’s to the Queen of the Skies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Adam Daniel No plane can beat the 747.
3:00 that sound when you board a 747 always gives me excitement. I wonder where it comes from
APU maybe? idk :P
Most deffo! That sound (of the APU) that you hear when you're on the airbridge near the door is such an exciting thing! it makes my tummy butterflies jump...if that makes any sense?! Nothing like it, and only really works with a 747 don't you think?
There's certain emergency motor operation in the jet engine that allows to power the 747, otherwise there will not have power.

Thanks for another great trip report Quintin. Magical views at and during the ascent from JFK.
Beautiful views of NYC and Long Island!!!! I love the British Airways livery. Next time I fly overseas I would like to sit in the Upper Deck!!!
The 747, one of the greatest airliners ever built! RIP
British Airways have just annouced that these classic planes are to be retired from their fleet. Now I will have to go to Lufthansa for a chance to fly on them.
london tour reminds me of when I was there....way back in the 80s..during my 2 week reserve tour at RAF Mildenhall

Thank you! I appreciate it Craig
I remember when I went on BA economy and I loved it!
Brody Swiatek so 20 years ago?
The Queen of the Skies! An all time classic
Well done! I love the 747! Your vlogs are among the best since you create an ambience with music and special effects. ✈️👍👏
I legit thought this was simply aviation but it isn’t
Yeah, so did I :P not used to flights outside of the US
Honestly I sometimes get confused between the two of them since their logos look similar.
lol
both are great

The most enjoyable Trip Reports! Can't get any better 😆
Love your camera work, I can tell you love the planes. Awesome outside view too!
i got the tail numbers of the plane from flightradar and planespotters helped me thats because southwest airlines has the same flight number from previous flights and tracked it coming in all my flights arrived early
Thanks QFS !!!

Really awesome colours on taxi for takeoff and amazing views after the takeoff!
just want to say, after watching you almost 2 years you are doing a very professional presentation....I love it Q :)
Thanks for recording the sites of London, that was very special

I always like your intro song it’s so good and I like the song when your were going in a car to terminal
Great trip report as always 👍
The old 747 is still my favorite airliner! So regal looking!
Keep up the great work:)
This flight 747-400 holds a record of fastest flight as it touches 825miles/hour to cross atlantic ocean.
Something about the 747 that's just so...eye-catching
Great video. Especially like the 🌇 views of Manhattan and that shot of the wing (15:00) with the stars was awesome.

Ever stayed at the TWA hotel? Just went there recently. Really awesome, exceeded ALL expectations
Yes! It's like nothing else.
Dude your plane spotting and trip reports are relley good
Great stuff 👍..but I'm wondering what end of Heathrow airport did you land at ??
A previous video I watched had a similar landing..
In Octobet I flew direct from JFK to Manila. 16 and a half hours. You should do a report on that flight. It is with Philippine Airlines.
Great report man! Keep them coming!
Thank you Nate
The sunrise on departure 😍😍
Its sunset
Love this sunset takeoff and music
Looks like you really enjoyed the flight. So lucky!
You've come along with your trip reports. Very nice.
Yes mine too. Travelled from Jamaica to London, sat upstairs.
Brilliant 9.5 hrs.
So beautiful 😍😍😍
Great Job! wow you have really gotten professional and kudos for keeping it Aviation oriented. I feel like most of the other big aviation bloggers have sold out, they all speed up the takoff and barely show any footage that aviation fans love..
What’s is a first music at 5:54 please ?
Looks a lot better inside than when I went down to Miami on one of there 747-400’s in premium economy the seat was mainly held together with tape !
1st time watching your video and good job. Love the 747 and for a older plane it looks it good shape. Bummer BA did not offer a better Breakfast for an International Flight. Till the next video and thanks!
wish I had a time machine.....you guys would be doing this on a BA Concorde.........
8:16 what's the sound I like it
Ah..good to see the beautiful 747 still shining bright :)
THANK YOU FOR THIS. MY SEAT IS WINDOW SEAT ON 44 RIGHT SIDE AND I NEEDED TO KNOW HOW CLOSE THE WINDOW IS TO THE SEAT.
I always get window seats but never shut the blind cos I love them too much
14:05 the lid for the cake came from Iberia as you can see the Iberia tail on the plastic lid
Can anyone tell me the epedemic music which he has used
I like all your trip reports, it would be nice if you can report Bogotá dfw american airlines, thanks in advance!
Love the colour grading 👍
Anyone notice that the dessert in the meal tray has an Iberia logo?
life the kitten D ba is owned by a group called iag and Iberia is owned by it too so I guess they mix catering
Very informative video mate!l think some these 747s have been refurbished as far as l know.
Not a big fan of BA though, but,on the plus side, great to see the 747s in service👍!
2:11 weirdly coincidental composition of text and my flag carrier (LOT Polish Airlines)
hi qman. i sure do like your reports, they are awesome! thanks for sharing. fly safe my friend.
excellent video
Thank you
There must be close to 400 pax
Oh man, i hope you‘ll do LH‘s First Class soon😄
Can‘t wait to see ya hanging out in one of their F Lounges ✌️
I’d like to eventually take the flight from JFK-FRA
Sad to see the ending of the B747 production. This my favourite aircraft. It's really sad to see it disappear. Maybe we can launch a worldwide campaign to ask going not to stop it.
I like the BA livery, especially that curved ribbon ...
Looking very nice on the 747-400. Fly safe always...
great video and report. which camera you use on the city close ups ?
I flew out of LHR to SIN on SQ on 9th August 😊 great video and really super shots of depart during sunset - subscribed
What kind of camera you use to record
i had lunch at moes southwest grill in dallas love field also in omaha got to park in the new and spacious north garage the only problem is its away from the terminal and have to walk more compared to the old south garage

Top notch editing!
That football stadium was I think Stamford bridge or something
I also saw the delta 767-400 BCRF in person at ATL
What’s the name of the song that played during takeoff around the 10:45 Mark I think it was 🤔?
Try the Philippines airlines is the great airlines you will love it?
9:50 What a view of londom wow!

would love to see u fly the 787 dreamliner from charleston sc to london
Good review of your flight. Looks like a doable trip.
Thanks! It was definitely doable, just a bit uncomfortable
Great report. Thanks for sharing
i always feel flying on a 747 is special......like the 707 was ...a very regal aircraft.....
A WORK OF ART! That's what this video is. =D
Let us salute the inventors of this amaaazing technology every time we are airborne...
That B747 is a year younger than me (I was born in 1995). Anyways, love your videos. Greetings from Chicago
Love this video 😁 I’m looking into London to NYC for March 2021 & taking my parents & brother. I’ve never been & my parents have never been and I want them to experience it at least once in a lifetime. It’s gonna be expensive (may need a little loan) lol but it’ll be worth it 🙂🙏🏼
sick trip report!! Love your videoing
Love your videos man!
Anyone got a clue what the music in the intro montage. I kinda like it. Epidemic isn't the best description for what the song is though.
Awesome video
sorry im gonna say it.. ive watched a couple of your videos now and I always wanna cover my ears when the intro music plays.
The app Flight Radar is so good
