No GPS configured? Been there. Will happen to anyone who flies long range or over water eventually....no doubt. Happened to me back in 2014 with tbs disco and gopro.

Crown Point state park NY. I'm a diver as well, but this thing went down in the center of the channel. The next day I rode a jetski into the water to check depths and I saw it's between 60-80'. Lake Champlain is usually pretty clear vizabiliy wise, but this spot is the narrows between lake Champlain and lake George. It's murky, to say the least. Viz is probably 1-2' max, and with that depth, it's going to be pitch black with zero Viz using a light. Not to mention, it's been in the water now for a week. The drone will have minimal parts that will still work, (speculation) and the gopro is only rated to 33'. The longer it sits at that depth, the worse the chances of anything being salvageable are. All these told me it's not worth it for me to attempt. I though of sending the video to the local sherrifs dept to see if they wanted to run a training with their dice to to try to go d it, but I do t expect it to work when brought back up.
