I also love red and auburn haired people. There was discrimination against red heads in Europe also. Dark skin people complain of discrimination, but are the most prejudice towards albinos. Look at Africa, it is pure hate for white skin. And they can have normal children. And are most of the albinos beautiful and above average IQ. There was a talk show host in the 1980s in USA that was albino. Very intelligent and decent man. I also have red heads in my ancestry as I have freckles. Black there also, Indian and Asian. Aw anytime I see someone with albinism it makes me smile. My grandpa was albino and legally blind. He was born into a poor Hispanic family in Northern New Mexico. His parents were farmers, who shunned him for being albino and blind, as they saw it as a disability. They sent him to a school for the blind which ended up saving his life, as he was welcomed by the community there. When he grew up, he became a teacher at the school. He was a carpenter who taught woodshop to legally blind and fully blind kids! He also taught people who recently became blind how to live and adapt to their new realities. Anyway, point being, people with albinism have a special place in my heart 💛
Your grandfather seems like he is a very sweet and caring person, wish we had more people like him in the world, it would be a much happier place 😊❤ thank you for sharing your story 👍❤

@M G I live in Sweden and I can definitely say that ppl are mixed. There are some blonde and blue-eyed ppl but thats very stereotypical and not realistic.
@M G The theory as I understand it is that when mutations occurred after people had migrated to that part of the world, because fighting the sun wasn't such an issue the lack of melanin didn't matter there. Light skin is a mutation in human history, and certainly a physical disadvantage in sunnier climates. It's a social construct, of course, that ever made it an advantage.

Fairness and albinoism aren't the same aesthetic. Thats like saying if you are attracted to chinese people then you should also like indonesian people because they are similar to chinese. Not the same.
Our white skin standard is closer to fairish red than a European white. Something like a fair Spaniard/italian would be more preferred than albinos or blonde haired whites.

When I was in school there was another classmate who had even lighter skin and hair that was almost white. They didn't have any problems getting along with other kids, but had to be very careful about sun exposure -- and this was in the 80's when there was not so much concern about skin cancer as there is today. Surprised to hear that this woman was turned down for a job, because she seems very articulate and communicates with confidence. She certainly would be a good representative for a cosmetics firm because she is different and that is something that people will remember and helps build the brand identity.
I’m unfortunately not surprised at all that she was turned down for a job. I’ve dealt with that discrimination my whole life. I was actually a bit surprised at her hair color, she looks more blonde than albino.
I used to have a junior in my elementary school who had albanism. And I remember how all the students used to stare him, (including me) because he looked different. I remember seeing him cry sometimes in corridors, might have been because of bullying by his class mates and though always there was a teacher consoling him, I regret not approaching him and comforting him. Maybe I was too young to understand all this but now I feel I could have made his school days a little normal. He didn't want sympathy, he just wanted some genuine friends. I hope he's better now. Not bullying someone is good but supporting the victim is even better. I hope to react in a better way next time. =)

But now as a grown up I feel guilty for that. Although we never passed any comments but we made her feel uncomfortable. After so many years i appologise for that.
It is not so uncommon, i remmeber going along with a girl who had albinism in school van. It was indeed rare so we used to get so excited, but we never discriminated and made her feel bad. Curiosities were always there but nobody insulted her and she lived like a queen with loads of attitude and attention of others always.
So many teachers gave her years of trauma, and just one teacher encouraging her was enough to help her get confidence. Some people really don't deserve to be in this profession. Imagine being a teacher and getting frustrated at a child. This is way too common than it should be.

She has a condition even if it doesn't seem like it, she can't face direct sunlight she needs to cover up and their eyes are also very poor and more problems that happens and because it's a genetic disorder , you'll risk your kids facing the same issues growing up not how the society treats them but how their body restricts them . You don't have to treat them any differently. I have seen a junior struggling with vision issues, skin issues and maybe some bulling as a kid because kids are brutal and parents need to parent better in this country.
You know, I feel like this really just justifies how arbitrary skin color is. If I didn't know better, I'd assume she's European. We are all the same. Let's treat each other that way.

Of course there are also Indian mongoloids with more East Asian features, but the majority are Caucasoids with similar bone structures to Middle Easterners and Europeans. White people are just one type of Caucasian/Caucasoid. There are tan and brown Caucasians and Caucasoids as well, which is the category that many in West, Central, and South Asia fall into.

Her case is fascinating to me because she legit looks foreign, specifically caucasian unlike other people with albinism that you can easily determine has the condition (like her husband) , but then in the photos with her other friends/sisters you can see the resemblance is there, just more defined and darker, it just goes to show that skin color really is only skin deep, and yet it is still the biggest reason for discrimination.
"The biggest reason for discrimination" 50% of the population being treated as everything between non-human and just inherently lesser for being born without a penis since the dawn of civilization(and in a lot of places including India still to this day):

You can see in their face features that they have common roots with Europeans, but our skin colour makes us look so different. Without that difference, we would be the same. Probably because weboth are indo-european🥰
More like a German or Nordic
We are not european though , we are vedics
Beautiful jealousy
@@engineeriumm of course you are not european)))))))))))))) its obvious, europeans and indians are completely different in any aspect ahaha
Bro indo european is a linguistic family not race.
I had huge crush on a girl with albinism. She was in kendriya vidyalaya and I was in different school. But I always managed to get time to see her after school ... Childhood pyar yaad aa gaya 😃
She looks European because there are numerous Indians with European facial features
Look up the human genome, Indians are very closely related to Europeans
Indian haplogroup R1a
Europeans haplogroup R1b
Europeans are albinos from Hindustan/India.
"The biggest reason for discrimination"
50% of the population being treated as everything between non-human and just inherently lesser for being born without a penis since the dawn of civilization(and in a lot of places including India still to this day):
Indians have European admixture through the Vedic Aryan invasion during the Bronze Age, Indians are skeletically caucasoid and thus some can have facial features similar to Europeans. Race is very real and affects so much more than just skin tone, you would never confuse an African or East Asian albino for an European.
Now I literally believe that we are living in a judgemental world the world judge you in every thing if u are dusky prblm white prblm thin prblm fat prblm
When this will change god

I’ve never seen an Indian albino in my life. This is an absolute first and I’m here for it. I had never thought about it.
Now some people says that she is beautiful, she is gorgeous, but no one talk about problem that she faced since childhood.
@Arati G That's right
@Arati G no because people only want to see outer side they dont dig deeper, thats why people judge by looks bcs they dont want to take time to dig deeper in one 's character or problem or person.. So dont see outer surface just go deeper you will find something different

She’s so pretty, especially because of her uniqueness. Idk what they’re all talking about.
I have heard this word albinism first time in my life. You are very brave.Don't care about others bad comments 💕
She should have just told everyone she was Irish. Lol. She looks like my ancestors. I love the Sunflower thing. It’s perfect .
Uneducated people would believe she is Irish.
I can see she is an albino
@@Zee-ob1pe if she dyes her hair red or orange It would make her paleness believable enough to mistake her for Irish
And she's. Indians are the ancestors of Europeans. That's what our ancestors books and epics talked about before the Aryan invasion theory was invented by British.
What is more reasonable: few people from icy areas populated the most fertile lands of India. Or people from India populated Europe once ice age thawed.
Mahabharata talks about it in details. It was written 5-6k years back
@@amit4Bihar that's fake 😂, all the genetic evidence points to Europeans migrating over to Persia and India and mixing with the people there.
@@shezyam460 that's false. It's the South Asians who migrated to Europe and middle East. See the Mitanni and Hittite kingdoms for example
My friend is also an albino. She's living life to the fullest. Nobody teases her, neither as a kid nor today as a teen. She also has blue eyes.
She's lucky then. Normally they have hard life. They can't walk in sun like everyone else, eyesight problem. My friend was called "White Walker" (game of thrones) because she had blue eyes. She didn't have eyesight problem though
@@niranjandesai6766 that's sad... I think it depends on the community/ society we live in. Like mine is a more open minded society that accepts a lot of stuff easily so I guess people have to learn to respect

That was savage🔥
Wo savage nehi hei but still.
I never realized how close Indian and classical European facial features were until today! Wow. They’re practically identical.
People are people. Our exterior is simply a shell. God sees the heart of every individual; not the color of our skin or the color of our hair.
Bullying, nastiness and ignorance are some of the things that cause so much hate in our world
This woman is beautiful and she has a husband and child.
Thank you for posting this video. You are an example of strength of character and determination 🙏🙏
The problem is Indians themselves don't know how diverse and huge their country actually is.
That last line is just the whole soul of the video
which we need to learn for every other person' s life
I love her story, I cried, I know she went through a lot and is helping society to be better humans❤️💗

Inferiority complex in a nutshell of Indian society
Every society, not just Indian.
@@fortheloveofcats2462 just indian....
@@mememania2735 no. People who are fat are shamed by thin people and vice versa, people who are black/brown are discriminated, especially in sports because they are more powerful than white people, poor people spread false rumors about rich people and rich people try to dominate over poor people because they are jealous of their health, loving family ties, etc. This happens EVERYWHERE in the world. Not just in India
@@fortheloveofcats2462 it's actually a known fact that a lot of Indians have inferiority complex lmfao

I used to be bullied in school for having dark skin color and thought it would be good to be born fair. Now it looks like society will find faults in you no matter what you do or how you look

the ones who mock her probably have some insecurities or they have some problem in their own lives. even if someone has "perfect fair wheatish skin tone" the society or trolls would probably mock them for other things such as weight, height, nose, eyebrows, hairline, forehead, etc.
I think it's the first time a beauty/cosmetic company has rejected someone with fair skin.
