I hated Hardlex until I got the sbbn. The Hardlex seems to give the dial a richness that a flat sapphire couldn’t give. Considering the watch is pvd I don’t put it in a scenario where it could get damage. In this instance I will accept a lesser material. The Willard with Aluminium bezel is another example. But when Omega produce a new speed master with lacquer dial in white then still supply it with a aluminium bezel it doesn’t make sense on a 10k watch!!!!
Yeah but you can say that is a good deal or bad deal etc. you can say whether or not a watch ch is worthwhile or is a good option for collection future values etc

You are absolutey right. Always make the decision yourself. You are the only one who will be looking at your wrist and at your watchbox all the time. If you dont like the 4:30 date, dont buy it. Who cares is water resistance or any other spec is improved, if no one really needs it anyway...
I wonder why you went for the sapphire Tuna. Why not the previous gen Tuna, with MARINEMASTER written on it, and with the domed hardlex crystal? Sometimes I think about getting an SBBN033. It has charm the sapphire doesn't.
Lol because I had the opportunity buying the Sbbn043 first, I actually thought about trading for one of the previous Gen one, but on the second thoughts I will always have an opportunity to do that. On the Tuna I think the sapphire 300mm is holding value well, simple they are all out of stock, just had a look for sbbn041, 043, 045 they are all gone, so supply and demand will make it do well.
@@Felix_love_watches I wouldn't get rid of the SBBN45, just get an SBBN033 as well. If you're a lume junky, the Tuna is among the best. I'd also love to get an SLA021 at some point. I personally prefer that over the MARINEMASTER gen. Btw, it seems to me Seiko is taking a direction I really dislike with their new releases. Pushing the date down to 4:30, putting it into a small circle, at an angle, ruins the style I've come to love about Seiko divers. It's very like I'll only collect discontinued Seikos in the future.
Unrelated question, how do you fine that sailcloth strap? I'm currently trying to decide between an Artem sailcloth and Uncle Seiko tropic strap for my SPB143.
Hey mate I love Uncle’s bracelet I think they are outstanding. Never tried Uncle’s offering on straps yet. Artem has sent in almost every single straps they produce in for our channel, I think they are outstanding in style, quality and longevity, if you have a budget for it I highly recommend their strap with deployment for your SPB143.
