My 2021 annoys the hell out of me. I will now consider the beeps when I'm buying a car. This is the most annoying seat belt beep in the game right now. And when I open the door and shut my car it beeps too. So many beeps driving me up a fuckin wall. Gonna sell this car asap.
it is a killer for sure, basically you must leave the seat belt on to the very end. otherwise the beeps Get you, what many commenters never got, was the talk, they wanted me to dismantel it for them
All I know is that I will not be buying a toyota until that feature is removed!!!! Rented one for a weekend getaway and all I had was shopping items on the seats and that alarm would lose it! NEVER BUYING A TOYOTA IF I CAN'T DISABLE OR REMOVE THAT FEATURE!!!!

I've got a BMW, some of us use a module to defeat that system when the seat sensor wears out. I'm sure the corolla has a similar module available. Corolla is a solid car, I had one before I went to the diesel BMW which I personally like better because I do my own fixes. Any car under warranty is nice though.
It literally goes off in 50 seconds. But will come back if you stop and then go over 12 mph again. Only use a spare seatbelt or buckle up. The other option is get someone with a programmer to turn chime off. Another option is to get a pick and pick out the voice coil in the gauge cluster. You need to dig out the little vent louvers and then you can see the speaker which is the object of hate here. Don't ever unplug anything in these new vehicles 18+ cam, 19+Rav, Corolla and so on. There's a latch sensor under the hood. You can unplug that to disable start/stop. Use a zip tie to tie it back so it doesn't flop around.

when I get out of the car it blares as well. the trick is to put a dummy belt plug on then tear in to the dash or demand a firmware hack from teh dealer.

Which if he has a wreck will break every bone in his body possibly paralyze him or kill him . But it's completely legal to ride a dangerous motorcycle but I want you to wear a seatbelt in a car that already has protection. That's the equivalent of telling someone they're not allowed to wear a life jacket in the water but they're required to wear one while standing on the boat dock. Absolutely ass backwards and completely asinine

Literally doesn’t go off at all. I drove 5 minutes testing this and it never turns off unless you fasten seatbelt or put it in drive.
