  • R.I.P. Terence Wilson
Co-founder of British reggae band UB40 Terence Wilson has died Novmeber 6, 2021, after a short illness. Wilson, whose stage name was Astro, was a member of UB40 for over thirty years. What exactly was wrong with Wilson has not been disclosed. Wilson started at UB40 as a roadie and was allowed to announce the band. He later became the second vocalist behind lead singer Ali Campbell. He also played trumpet and percussion.
In 2013, Wilson left the band, which scored hits such as ‘Red Red Wine’ and ‘Can't Help Falling In Love’. He joined the previously disbanded Ali Campbell. Together they formed an offshoot of the band under the name UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro. A new album and a tour were planned for early next year.
The original band also still exists. On Twitter, the members offer their condolences to the family of their former bandmate.
'Cherry Oh Baby' was UB40's 14th single and became a big hit in Holland (#7 in the Top 40) in 1984. The single reached #12 in the UK. The performance on Toppop features both leadsingers and brothers Ali Campbell and Robin Campbell. In January 2008 Ali left the band, later followed by rapper Astro.

Very clear to see they hadn't had a second left handed guitar ready for Robin to use.

Cover of The Stones, Black & Blue album, 1976, based on Don Covay's "Super Dude" (1973), en "Hot Blood" (1975) albums. If you here Mick, you here Don. Don had a big influence on Mick. If you here first the two Don albums, you here all come together on The Stones' Black & Blue. UB40 version, not bad, but i like the Stones version more, copied of Don's reggae version of Memphis (Tennesee)?
