- We frequently receive the question: how to clean a ZOWIE mousepad?
We heard many feedback that ZOWIE mousepad has been damaged after using a sponge and shampoo, so we would like to share this video showing our suggestion on how to clean it.

I followed this cleaning procedure monthly and after a year, the glide on my G-SR is as smooth as new. Keep up the good work Zowie!

Would be nice if you released specially formulated cleaning wipes for mousepads. You mentioned using alcohol free wipes, but there are also many wipes out there that feature moisturizer as an ingredient, which would definitely be bad for for the glide as it would embed itself into the fabric permanently.
or maybe just use damp cloth to clean the mousepad more frequently should be fine.

Tried your method with shaking and wetwipes and it left a bunch of wetwipe fibers on my GSR.
I'll continue using soap, warm (not hot) water and a microfiber cloth. I also dry it using a heater.
Atleast to this point (3yrs) I don't feel any deterioration and as I use a G303 Shroud Edition with proper mousefeet and play Apex on a semi decent rank.
I'm either still too bad to feel the deterioration or to lucky to have it.
After cleaning the Pad it also always looks like day 1. Not even the stitched frame shows any signs of aging.
I'm very pleased with your product and will probably rebuy it once this one shows signs of old age. In 10 years or so.
Hi, thanks for your support. If your current one doesn't have issue, then it is good; due to we saw many other customer had issue after using soap, hygine, shampoo, that is why we share our suggested way, not a problem :)

Hi, would you recommend using a lint roller after the wet wipe to clear the fibers that the wipe left?
Hi, it is not suggested to use a lint roller due to it may stick/damage the surface fiber of the mousepad. Suggest to keep it to dry by natural air after wiping by wet cloth, for your reference.
Which one of your mousepads most resembles a QcK after 3 months of usage? I want the control I get with it, but I peak like between 3 to 6 months with the QcK. After that it eventually start becoming too slow. It's really hard being a high sens player and trying to find something that isn't too fast, doesn't have jittery tracking yet has good stopping power while also wont change too much over time due to humidity and such. Any suggestions?

My G-SR mousepad feels like it absorbs a lot of humidity and liquid, and it makes my mouse moving soooo slow. I tried to dry it but after hours of using it and it absorb the humid and make my mouse movement so slow again. Do I have to change my mousepad now as I’m using it for almost 5 years now, bought in 2016.
Hi, i am thinking to get a new mouse pad especially the same mousepad been used for six years, the mousepad may be worn out seriously and the glide feeling should be very different than it should be. And also, like to suggest you don't use any dryer or heater to dry the mousepad, or it may damage the material, suggest to dry it by nature air flow.

hi, when you drag your nail over the mousepad, i think maybe that is fiber been cut; you can use your finger skin to wipe it and then keep using damp microfiber cloth to clean it, the trail can get less.

How long should I keep my gsr se rouge in the air to dry out, it gets pretty hot in here during Summers around 40 degree Celsius
Hi, sorry for late reply, i think it depends on the environmental humidity and also how humid of your mousepad. To touch and feel is the best way to know how long should you air dry your mousepad.

It is better to put a cloth in between mousepad and iron, as to avoid high temp to burn the mousepad surface.
If you iron it directly (without cloth) is also fine if the temp is not that high and also your iron keep moving position.
I've had my GSR for 2 years and its still not laying flat after counter rolling it. I gave up trying to sort it out. My new GSR-SE-Rouge had the same problem after 3 weeks of use and counter rolling so I had to end up returning it.

Ohh, i can understand your point.
In case if there is oil/grease on it, then you may need soap/shampoo if the oil/grease is really bad. Suggest you just use as few soap/shampoo as you can, and clean it by damp cloth rightaway as to reduce the impact.

is this method (rub with cloth) will help my mousepad condition -> when i scratch my mousepad, it will leave white mark just like we rub our dry feet? or should i use more barbaric approach like using the toothbrush?
Hi, if your mousepad is worn out, then it is not recoverable such as your jeans gets whity when it worn out. Don't use toothbrush or any kind of hard brush, since it will makes worn out to be worse.
Can i clean this by just getting any wet/damp small towels instead of baby wipes?
Hi, it should be fine by a small towels in case your towels is soft and its fiber is not easy peered off.
Hello zowie, I bought new gsr se rouge.... In 1 month the mid portion became full of dirt or it's glide feel lost.... It's impossible to remove dirt with only the wet cloth

I was surprised to see this video right after I cleaned my G-SR with alcohol sanitizing wipes. So you are saying that alcohol has a negative effect on slipping?
Hi, alcohol may damage the material of mousepad, it could impact to glide feeling or even makes the risk of surface cloth to peer off. Sorry to hear that, i think the positive is: never to too late to know it as to avoid further damage in the future.

Is it okay to rinse the mousepad in lukewarm water? I don't think some wipes will be sufficient to actually get the sweat out of it.
Hi, it is hard to tell how hot of water won't damage the material, so I would like to suggest the way of this video shows.
i thought GTFX pads came in a large rectangular box, not rolled in a tight box. why would we iron them?
If your mousepad is in flat, then you don't need it.
This is suggestion in case if your mousepad if not flat by scenarios: you roll it and keep it rolled for period of time in storage, or even the mousepad is slightly curved due to dramatic temp change during the transportation even it comes with flat pack.

Hi, the color pattern is made by heat printing process, and we don't have any process which called "making coating" in our manufacturing.

So not only the surface is different, and the manufacturing process is also different makes the different glide feeling.

Hi, it is not suggested due to it may damage the surface cloth and the glue in between surface and mousepad. Would like to suggest you to use the way shared in this video first, and shampoo as the last option unless your mousepad has some grease left over and can't be cleaned by damp cloth. if any question, please feel free to let me know.

Hi, for me: i obsessively clean mousepad by brush every 4 hours, and also use damp microfiber cloth to wipe the mousepad every week. I think the frequency depends on your preference (level of obsessive :D), and also the way you use and your environmental condition (such as dust level).
For the micro fiber cloth, you can type "micro fiber moth for monitor" as keyword to do search, or use the microfiber cloth of eye glasses is also fine.

So basically you cant clean the mousepad because water only is not sufficient for the kind of impurities accumulated
If you want, at least make sure to use cleaner without alcohol, but even though cleaner still damage the mousepad but slower than the one with alcohol; so whether to use cleaner (even it is without alcohol) depends on how dirty of your mousepad as to evaluate the return and risk to take.

Hi, sorry to hear that. It is not recoverable due to the glue between the mousepad surface and base material is likely to be damaged by the cleaner.

There are some gliding feeling comparison charts, maybe you can use it to take a reference which glide feeling you prefer and then you may have better feeling which ZOWIE mousepad may get closer to you, such as:

It is about panel hardware difference; the panel of DyAc+ version is slightly faster then the version of DyAc; and the motion on DyAc+ is slightllly clearer than DyAc.

Hi, i would like to you check this link, the "speed chart", as to feel the difference between what mousepad are you using now. Since most of ppl would say both those two pads are more lean to control feeling, and GSR SE is slower than GSR, but i think it depends on what you make comparison, so maybe this chart form reddit group ppl may give you some reference.

Hi, you may try to clean it by damp cloth as demo in this video, and check if your mouse skates are worn out or if any sharp edge; if yes, then you may change skates, since skates also impacts the worn out condition, and it scratch and destroy the surface if there is any sharp edge of your skates.

The special base material of our mousepads offers a consistent and high density feeling, but it has limitation to make a bigger size due to a too low yield rate to do. And about RGB, sorry for we don't do it due to distraction for playing, but i believe you can find many options from the market.

Oh here's a simple idea to 'flatten' your poorly shipped product - for the price you charge, in 2023, SHIP IT FLAT PACKED or don't get up to bat. PLEASE. It's actually the reason I have not wasted my money on the GSR.

If you are using ZOWIE mousepad, i suggest you not to wash it by washing machine, even mousepad is a consumable item, but washing machine will make it gg earlier. Just for your reference.
