Whales of the deep

  • Some marine mammals that breathe air and nurse their young, like us, spend a large part of their days in the abyss. Scientists are now discovering that the depths reached by these ocean dwelling giants are far greater than they had ever imagined. Using tags attached to the animals, cameras in the deep ocean trenches and 3D scanning images, this film follows and illustrates a modern scientific revolution. Constructed as a dramatic progression towards the deep sea trenches - from the shallowest to the deepest - live and VFX footage show animals that are extremely rare and highlights the remarkable physiological adaptations that allow them to dive so deep.

Went from 2000ft to 6000ft that's honestly crazy, the pressure must be incredible marine animals can thrive in it. Wow

I can't help uttering about this narrator's rare, unique, & full-throated deep baritone voice ( Mr. James Faulkner) that is even somewhat resonated or echoed in my ears at the end of his narration! He seems perfectly suitable for this sort of sober & solemn subject, enhancing a wealth of magnificence, intrigue, & thrill. And the same goes to the scriptwriter w/ one's researchers who carried out w/ scrupulous attention to its minute details ( utterly educational, informative, & even edifying! ), & of note is that they have been rarely if not at all praised for their brilliant works, for most of us usually commend those photographers & editors. Btw, let's not forget the work of the audio men w/ that effective background music composer either! Nonetheless, thanks to them all concerned in the production, we could enjoy, admire, & appreciate it for free on YT to the fullest at the opulent convenience of our places. Thus, my heartfelt gratitude to you all for this heartwarming doc.,,,,,(06/07/24)

Those marine mammals withstanding that unbelievable crushing compression pressure in the abyss seem to simply defy comprehension or beyond imagination & even belief unless you witness this singular & educational documentary. Had it not been for this doc., I could not have gained any insight about these mammals w/ an extraordinary ability! So my heartfelt gratitude for this rewarding documentary.,,,,,(08/09/24)

      Human chauvinism at it best.
Ever notice how fond humans are, of calling other life forms 'monsters', when, in fact, the only 'monsters' on this planet is us, because we are the only lifeform which acts outside its needs, physical remit, and the natural order, seeing it as our right to predate all others, while nothing must predate us.

Pilot Whales and Sperm Whales are fascinating marine mammals. I find them at least as interesting as Orcas, which seem to be everyone else's favorite marine mammals, aside from dolphins. Dolphins being the clear winners owing to the Flipper TV series that appears to have been in reruns forever. LMAO!

These all are the creatures of Almighty ALLAH who feeds them also know their abode. In Islammic Books it is written that before the creation of human being there was seawater on this earth and when Allah created first human prophet Adam and later his spouse Eve , they both used to lived in Paradise and Allah forbade them not to eat a plant but Prophet Adam and his wife Eve eat from that plant, this made ALLAH angry and he then decided to land them both on earth. Satan heard this news and he told this news to fish and Fish backbited this to All the fishes. Allah SWT don't like back biting and deprived the fish of it's TONGUE , today we don't find TONGUE in Fish mouth.

Not to mention millions and billions of years. Anything but God created such an abundance of life on the earth. Pretend God didn’t do it and condemn us for being alive. Hmmm who would want us to believe such nonsense? Could it be the prince of darkness?
