I've asked for this a couple of times before but i'll ask again (this'll be the last time, i don't want to irritate you). Please, please, please could you do a video on how you built your team, why you hired them and a little description of their job roles. Honestly, I'd really appreciate it.

I think she did do a hiring video before. Not to the level of detail you are requesting but she's done one recruitment video.
I noticed that all of her team members are a professional girls, and that make the communication more easier and more productive... That my opinion.

@@KarinBohn This may be an ignorant question, but how do you and your team make decisions when the core of your work has to do with aesthetics (which is rather subjective)? I love getting a glimpse of your design review meetings because I get to see how meetings are run in the creative field (vs the corporate world). But seeing that makes me wonder how someone can feel confident about what they present to you or a client when there isn't necessarily any "rules" to back them up (vs I can make reference to regulations / policies / frameworks / methodologies in what I do). It just seems that design (of any kind) is impossible to master.

i had this same conversation with a friend of mine. You don't have to be the best, you don't have to be the fastest. The most important thing is to show up every day, be consistent. The thing is I understood this only after being in the position to hire my own staff.
It so true, you just have to be willing to outwork everyone... that’s what get you to the top!

Oh dear, since 1991 I am an interior architect. In between my carrier I married with Dutch guy left my country, build a family with two kids. Last year I put everything together and start my own business again and last week turned to 50.... please tell me how u deal with small budget clients, who counts every single cent, how u can finish things if they want to be top of every single decisions... really trying not to give up, but sometimes gets more then I can take. thanks inspiring x
Feza van der Weele Small budget clients are usually the ones that cost you the most.
one idea is limit the scoope be honest since begin tell the client with your budget you can do this n quanty of things no full list wishes.

Hi Karin, this is awesome. Thank you for sharing and just being an amazing mentor to many so many. I really needed to see this video, as I have been working on a project that has taken over 6 months and the client has just not made any major decisions despite the work we put in. And I partly questioned my abilities, and wanted to give up. but seeing that its okay to go back to the drawing board and trying to come up with many more solutions is such an encouragement and has encouraged me to do the same. Thank you thank you thank you. I hope to meet you someday. Thanks a lot for your advise... I am exactly at that moment where I feel exhausted but I know deep in myself that I will make it and that I just need to keep going. But also to get a better health routine as you cannot give your best when you are weak. In fact you should do a video on how you keep up with your health, self care, morning/evening routine. I think it is very important and sometimes we see it as secondary.

Hi Karin! I love your videos ❤️. You talked about building a beautiful work team and I would like to know what are you looking for in people to be hired besides the resume and formal education. How much of that decision comes from seeing the resume whereas listen to your intuition? Also, how do you create a fun working environment without losing your place as the leader?
Karen , tip to wear a lipstick and not feeling it, put a base one first it’s like a lipstick concealer, then add lipstick layer, will hold your lipstick never smudge ❌❌❌

I hear you when you say you gotta show up earlier and stay later and outwork everyone else if you wanna be the last one standing. Hardwork is important, and I want to be successful at my career and know that Im doing a kickass job. But at the same time Im 26, and I cant keep grinding for 10-12 hour days at the office. I wanna be more than my job. I want a family and a life and my career is eating me alive. Im in a managerial track for a finance firm and I spend my day putting out fires. As a result when Im not at work, Im thinking about work. Im always on "edge", feeling as if my work cellphome is going to ring and I'll have a huge escalation I need to resolve.
Should I just keep trudging forward? I want to work hard and be the last one standing like you said, but I want more in my life.

hello Karin i have a question : after how much time you feeled things really start working for you ? .... because i know it's takes time but .... i'm not living in a city so it's more long and more hard (i think) ..... ? or it's all about have a good marketing and all this ? ... i have no team and work alone for the moment , and i'm not sure i can do things properly this way ..... because some day i feel as a kind of red fish who try eat a shark ^^ sorry for explain like this but i 'm sure you know what i mean
