- Join me for some great ideas to use up leftovers from hosting, plus a grocery haul and stocking up on a few items and preparing some healthy and super simple lunches. This week I shopped at Woolworths instead of ALDI, but I found some really good deals!

Omg yay! So glad I found your channel. I’ve just moved to Melbourne from Ireland and I’ve been searching for an Aussie channel that does these budget friendly/healthy yet tasty meal ideas from an Aussie supermarket as it’s easier to compare costs. Can I ask whereabouts in Australia are you based? 😊
Near Melbourne :)
I’ve been using left over veg to make frittata’s for many years, the quinoa salad is something I’ll definitely make.. I always try to use the leaves on celery for flavouring when making soups and other one pot meals.. I remove them at the end of cooking
That's a great idea for the celery!
Would love to see some videos of your veggie garden 😊 mine did well with tomatoes this summer but not much else!
I find it hard to keep celery fresh but if i have excess i will chop it up and freeze for bolognese
Happy to include in future video! Mostly had green beans, capsicum, zucchini and herbs this year :)
I've never had much luck with capsicum
Wow that frittata looks amazing! I'll have to give it a go when i have bits to use up! Not sure if the kids would like it though.
Yummy! I will definitely try these out! Your grocery haul looks like mine. I live in California and shop at Aldi for the bulk of my groceries. I also love using up all my leftovers and odds and ends to make soups, chilli or stew. It’s a good habit that saves money and leaves less waste. Thanks for your video content, happy to have found your channel 🎉
Thanks for your comment and for being here! Feel free to share your favourite recipes :)
the bell pepper stir fry looks good but perhaps w/ a vegetarian substitute! (for me)
Looks delicious ❤
It's a great salad, highly recommend 😊
Would love to see the home made yoghurt New follower
Will include in my next cooking/recipe video!
Your grocery haul would probably be around $200 here in Alaska!
Can vary so much! I'm always amazed how cheap things are in many parts of the US, but appreciate Alaska would be different!
We have a yogurt maker, have had it for YEARS,and still haven't used it. Maybe we should give it a go to see how it works out 👍.
You absolutely should, mine is awesome and much cheaper than buying yoghurt. I'll do a video very soon how I use mine :)
@@SimpleMealPlanPrep-jk9bk I will definitely keep a look out for that video. Thank you 👍
Interested in your yogurt recipe plz. Thank you
Will include in a future cooking/recipe video!
