I wanted to just come back to this video almost 4 years later to just show how well this was done. One of the first reviews I actually thought that "Oh reviewers do work hard to give us an opinion and try to keep it interesting". And this was one of those first phones I really wanted because this was marketing a good phone while giving an awesome review.
Sanjiv Shakya it is a really nice phone and can last long and I'm planning to get one hopefully, I mean, it's design is really nice and I love everything about it.
After having Xperia Z, ZL, and currently with the Z3, I still have no idea how people prefer the Galaxy line until de S5...geezuz those things were ugly looking and the Samsung Skin is ridiculous. Nowadays its more understandable, the "gap" between these devices are really tide, but geez, Sony shoud have been the "Modern Nokia" with they design and specs, but people simple didn't get't and keep brought those plastic shits from Samsung...
sony was awsome but when i got my hands on the s7 and the iphone 6 i started to dislike the ui of sony but the design of the xperia z is 10 out of 10 for me 😃👍
Currently my daily driver, easily scratched and already been repaired twice, once from it never turning on after turning it off and the second time it randomly cracked. Still an amazing phone!
ah the good old days, i used to own this phone back in highschool. i brought it along on a swimming session & ended up playing around & taking photos with my friends underwater. owning the only water resistant phone at the time was quite a hard flex🤣 the phone is still alive as of today
I agree. The full retail price of the Droid Razr Maxx HD (a phone from last year) was initially 730 USD. People just don't understand the longterm advantage of buying an unlocked phone.
It's one of the best Xperia Z reviews I've seen. The viewing angles are not a big deal for me, but I really don't like those screen protectors. I'd prefer Gorilla Glass with oleophobic layer because those protectors are fingerprint magnets. They also attract all the dust which make the phone look crappy. Other than that it's a great phone spec and software wise.

Their battery saving function is surprisingly effective! I left my phone overnight with data off, and the next morning, only 0-1% battery were lost. My s3 used to eat 8-10% overnight even with data off -.-
if you keep waiting you'll never see the end of it! by the time all three are review we'll probably see other phones with specs much higher than these current ones. So if you're trying to buy a new phone, do it with the models currently available, that's my advice..

The big con is that colors get inaccurate when you tilt it a couple degrees. Now maybe you always hold your phone directly in front of your face, but I don't. Defend the screen as much as you want, it won't change the fact that it's a pretty bad display, compared to the competition.
You did not mention about two pin for dock charger.. That great thing.. Save time and fast recharge just drop in the dock in second.. No more finding usb port to plug in
Viewing angles are actually pretty important. Sometimes viewing angles can be so bad that even at the intended viewing angle, there can be some brightness and color shift, like on my monitor.

It does have a dock. That's pretty much the same thing as wireless charging. You can just sit it on the dock without having to open any ports or anything.

I have the Ultra T2 and I love this phone and I don't know why people complain about the battery life because I went from an iPhone 6 to this and I haven't had any problems I can run Pandora all day while I'm at work and my battery life might be down 82% from 100 in the morning and I seen somebody write a comment about the screen display it's got the best screen display on any phone that I have owned and the size is perfect it's a little on the big side but not obnoxiously big pokes out of your pocket or anything and the fact that it's waterproof makes it the best the only downfall that I see is why was the screen not break proof because I've only dropped it once and it cracked all the way from top to bottom left to right but that was my fault for not putting a case on it when I got it but I just really like the whole design of the phone and I didn't want to cover it up with a case I have all Sony products in my house and they're all linked up to my phone and I use it like a remote control for my cable box my TV I got it linked up to my Playstation so when I play video games I have a second screen to look at I built a rig for my PlayStation controller so I can mount the phone on it so while I'm playing the games I can go through my options on my screen on the phone and for that it is awesome alone just for that one feature as far as I'm concerned it's the best phone I've ever owned and I have had all the iPhones 2 Samsung Galaxies the mega Samsung and the Galaxy Note 5 Edge and I love this one better than any of them hands down and that's not just because I'm a lover of all Sony products
Been using the z for 2 weeks now and I must say its an amazing phone! Coming from an S3 I really like the design!! Water proof is always good to have but the performance has been excellent up til now..I do have viewing angle complain though..but it is beautiful screen if you look at the device head on..
Wish all smartphone reviews were more like this one. I wonder what the call quality is like. Was it possible to test the audio in and out over wifi? I bet it's very good.
Hi, I'm very sorry, that must suck :( I know it's resistant and sea water, pool water or soap can damage it. I've been using the phone for 2 months now and I washed it several times. I also used it in the shower and it survived. I'll not however intentionally drop it in water.
What nobody says about the phone is how good headphones sound through it. I mean if you are a fan of big and good headphones you will enjoy an amazing music experience. Its weird that nobody ever mentions it because most people are gonna listen to music all the time. I personally find this aspect way more interesting than the quality of the speaker itshelf cause i never listen to music on my phone that way

Viewing angles are not good but the screen for me is awesome and with the bravia engine on you get a nice over-saturation a la AMOLED. Other than that the phone is fast like hell it has no lags at all at entering and exiting apps or switching between them, and one really good aspect about the phone is that if you have quality headphones they will sound great throught it. Also about software the UI is pretty light, stock-like and the sony additions are actually good (walkman and stuff)

I love how people are complaining about non-removable batterie on Xperia Z but forget to realize 90% of all smartphones have non-removable baterries. If this makes phone thinner and water resistant - it's fine by me.
I think its great! The only thing I would like to add is not a big thing at all.. But in camera that lock screen should be dedicated camera button! That would make the phone perfect to me x) But it already is.. We are talking a slight Software modification to make it work hehe.

However, we should also understand that often times we show or view photos and videos together with other people.

Camera is awesome. The phone tend to get really, REALLY hot but it has no throttling on the CPU/GPU which is actually awesome.

If a carrier picks this up in the US I think it would sell pretty well. I doubt many people are going to pay $800 for an unlocked phone.

She probably was referring to 'on contract' price and your are telling the Unlocked phone price. Btw it costs around 500$ unlocked where I live.
