Growing up when Ken would be announcing at Thunder Road in Barre VT I never realized that everytime I've seen this clip in any montage that it was him. RIP to a great Vermonter

I loved hearing Ken Squier call a good nascar race each week. RIP Ken Squier.
I remember this call like it was yesterday. I was a senior in high school in high school and have always been a diehard NASCAR fan. Like others have said, this call helped NASCAR to become the sport that it became in the 80s and early 90s. Rest in peace to one of the greatest broadcasters of my favorite sport.
Thank you Mr. Squier for convincing CBS to Broadcast the 1979 Daytona Race, I have not missed it since! My Boys and I enjoyed your calling of the Race. Rest in Peace.😔
