I came to the Philippines with my family, from HK, having established a business prior to coming here. I live in Antipolo/Theresa in Rizal Province, not a place popular with foreigners. We have an income, investments and property. I am originally from the UK, but I have worked/lived overseas since 1991. Our family lives well. Our children are being educated, at school and university and we, as a family, are doing just fine. I don't work because I don't need to, but I am not a 'bum'. I read books and watch movies most of the time but I also help the local kids with their studies since my background is primarily in Education - University level - although I prefer helping the kids around here who don't have wealth or socio-economic advantages. My wife calls me a 'bum' because I don't 'get up and go out to work'. She seems unable to recognise that I don't need to since I have a passive income. Call me a bum, by all means, there are worse charges.
The guy in the middle must be from upper north part of England..the accent reminds me so much of Brian Johnson accent..no offense intended here but I'm cool with that accent man . very good discussion video.. @SpeakingofAsia yer beautiful spot but, I'm 49 from Australia living in dumaguete think I'm gonna be bored there as well, not sure I done the right thing retiring here!
When you can see and hear people having a regular exchange of opinions on a few things of just some common interests and then mostly of not-so-common interests that you happen to be also interested in, then usually it would make you want to butt in, and usually it's to agree or disagree with the other one or both because or if there's only 2 people actually discussing. But then people, like you and I would want to listen more if there's more than just 2 or 3 people sharing their common or different honest opinions, but a casual exchange of opinions involving 3 or more people, usually gets loud and/or heated, or just loud. But this type of 3 or more people discussion but done with some rules or some strategy where 1 of them also acts as moderator, and will also pick the topics, and/or will be asking some questions for them to answer individually and also discussed as a group, will, IMO, produce more clear and dependable answers if or when more people have the same answers to a question, and different or contrasting answers usually indicates that the answer can or will depend on each individual person. 1 on 1 interviews are great when you want to know a person, but not necessarily to know the answer or get the best answer or absolute best opinion on some things..

I would agree with your comments about alcoholism but I do think the Aussie guy drinking 6 to 8 a day comes the nearest to the true definition but on the other hand he seems in control.
