During the mic switches, I lost the track of what's what!! I had to slow down and listen to it. It was crazy how hard it was to distinguish between a 50$ and 200$ mic.

Rode had more depth and detail to it but the vrx sounds a but tinny (compared to the rode) but the price difference omg!! For the price the vrx is awesome!! But the problem is UA-cam’s compression can also play a role in the sound quality tho
That’s true. But for over $200, if it’s just for vlogs, I don’t know that the Rode is worth it compared to the Movo. It’s diminishing returns. Most people won’t know what they’re missing if you went with the Movo.
You need to consider the fact that rode VMP is an active powered mic whereas the Movo/Godox/Boya are passive powered. You can boom arm the rodes with 5m cable & still get good quality without loosing signals. These cheap one's drop like shits. For vlogging setup, these mics are good enough for the price point.

I use a BM-800 microphone with my Nikon d5300 , it was under 15 bucks and it’s pretty good!

Not yet. Almost got one, but heard bad things about the continuous autofocus for video.
