I do really like the V2 changes. That v1 was pretty good but just fell flat for me, this I actually like.

Good review overall. Just got this one. Looks nice as a homage but the quality of the dial, etc is proportionate to the price (which is fantastic, BTW).
Massive case too - and I don’t have small wrists (7.25”).
Great work on the GMT movement. Will be interesting to see accuracy/performance over the next few months.
Thanks. Yes the case is pretty big. The lack of any real curvature to it didn't help either. But like you said, it's a good watch for the money though.
I got this V2 in July last year, the timegrapher display scared me - but what counts is that it's accurate to about +3 to +5 seconds a day when always worn and occasionally getting a little extra wind for not moving my arm all that much.
If the index markers were half a millimeter wider, the disk would be completely like the original.
The wider hands are excellent, the ohne could be better though - but hey, for 150 Euros this watch is a no-brainer.
Yeah you really can't complain too much for the price can you? Pagani just need to up their lume game though.

Thanks for the review mate, it’s a good looking and pretty well finished piece judging from your video. I agree with you regarding text on the dial, I think they should go even further though and drop Pagani Design and just make the logo a wee bit bigger. It’s tempting tho’ as it is. Cheers 👍🏼

The V1 definitely has a push-pull crown. I prefer the V1 hands. They are longer and the GMT hand looks better although the V2 is more authentic to the real one.
I like this chinese movement, because the date wheel jumps at midnight rather than slowly turning during a 20-30 minutes time window.
It feels satisfying.
Apparently from what I've been told, the first batch of V1s were push/pull crowns. But then they changed them to screw ones for later batches.

I just received mine in the mail from AliExpress today. Only took 5 days. I ordered before realizing they had even done a Gen 2 update, and have been blown away, because it would seem that they legit listened to the reviewers/customers complaints. They made the hands even more accurate the original Rolex, added a screw down crowns and even included a correctly sized screw driver to the bracelet. My only issue is minor, and only an issue because I tend to be a strap horse, especially with a new watch, but the pins have not been easy to remove to take the bracelet off.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR yeah, I’m a fan of the Paul Newman Daytona and the Steve McQueen Explorer 2 Homages. Though I cooked on the McQeen a bit as it would seem he didnt wear one like Newman did, he is just reported as liking it.
I agree that those subtle changes do make a big difference. I also agree with you on the text over the 6 o'clock. And why did they put 10BAR/100M? Aren't they both of those units metric? You generally see a meters to feet conversion.

I have V1. That has a screw down crown. The lume looks slightly better on this though, but you can ever expect much from PD in the lume stakes. Had mine since last summer and still going strong, keeping time pretty well, losing 10-20 seconds per day.

This version is basically version 3 of this model. The first version had a push pull crown, then pagani design released a 2nd version which I bought and had a crew down crown but the rest of the watch was exactly the same. The version you present is version 3 which has an updated gmt hand similar to the rolex explorer 2 plus the hour and minute hands are thicker. Regards.

I have the upgraded model of the 1st version. It has a screw down crown. Customers asked Pagani to change to a screw down crown, and they obliged.
(Maybe there are 3 versions.)
Yeah a couple of people have said this. So, I guess this is kind of a version 3 almost then.

Had mine for a few months and think for the money it's great. Lume is poor but that's kinda a give. They could drop the extension and develop the clasp a bit, feels a bit tinny... But for a low sale price it's a bargain
Yeah Pagani Design's achilles heel is always the lume.

Probably still give this one a swerve but it's nice to see them making subtle improvements and not realising it straight after v1. Will be cool to see if these start using the new Seiko gmt, then I might be more inclined to grab one

Does the GMT hand keep time? I bought a PD last year, different model and the GMT hand didn’t keep time.
Yeah I didn't have any issues with it.
I have this version and is working at a fantastic at +1 sec per day.

I believe version 1 started with just a push-down, then they added a screw down. I have V1 and it's a screw-down. 18 months and it probably loses a minute or two every ten days. Comfortable on my 6.75" wrist. The lume looks a little better on V2 (for obvious reasons). I actually like them both. If my current V1 goes down, I'd get the 2.

The markings on the bezel are the 24 hour markers for the GMT function.

Dial Changes are subtly noticable the most obvious being the seconds hand.
I like the slightly customized rotor (is that new too?) and yes the clasp is definitely better.

The hands look much better on this version 2. The hands used for version 1 were just puny. However I don't put a lot of trust in DG5833 movements.
They definitely fit the dial better.

Thanks. Yes I do that deliberately for AliExpress watches, because the prices can fluctuate so much. Also you have different levels of tax added depending on where you are. Instead I just put the links in the description and let you check for yourselves.
I'd prefer the V1 over the V2. Sure V2 is closer to the original but V1 therefore has just that little bit of it's own thing. I don't like the bigger hands at all and the needletip of the GMT hand also looks a little funny to my eyes, but that's just me.

I'm maybe missing the point, but that's just a fake Rolex... calling it an homage doesn't change that. There's no design innovation or creativity. there... just a copy of Rolex's work. I'd rather have a real Seiko or G Shock than a fake Rolex myself.
If it was a fake it would say Rolex on it and not Pagani Design.

@@fire3500 It is a copy. But this in the art world is seen as an homage because it is stating that it is not the original and it is not being passed off as an original. A forgery is when something is claiming to be the original when it is not. It’s a fine line. Think about a band that covers original music. Same rules apply.
