Well I am jealous. My family and I have been past and frequent visitors to Cuba and this resort. A beautiful resort and the wonderful Cuban people make this a common repeat visitor location. Very nice video which makes me want to come back a.s.a.p. since our last visit was mid November 2015 and that is already too long ago. For anyone new to Cuba and this resort I would merely say do not hesitate. There is so much that is wonderful and by the way it is safe to walk in the Cuban countryside unlike some other Caribbean islands. Thanks again for the you tube contribution.
Well done video! I was at this resort for a week over New Year's Eve about 10 years ago. I'm glad to see it hasn't changed much. One of my favourite parts of this resort was the live music provided every night, and in the buffet restaurant at almost every meal. If you love salsa music, you will have a great time here. They also put on a very good New Year's Eve celebration. My friends and I had a fabulous time.
Great video. As a repeat visitor to Cuba and this resort I can recommend it, it is terrific and can provide for everything you might want on holiday. The resort has a sports center as well as a medical center and fitness gymnasium. There are several children's clubs to keep the kids happy. The theater has shows provided either by in-house staff or by outside entertainers and it is all good fun and includes children's entertainment as well. The bottled water and the water/ice from the bars is filtered and safe to drink. The tap water isn't. Great big pool and that excellent clear blue sea and beach. The amount of restaurants/ food provision is tremendous and there are bars everywhere. The Beer Garden never closes my personal favourite being the Bucanero beer and the Beer Garden also provides wine, water and coffee as well as snack meals. Accommodation is good whether you use the general resort or the Premium Section but most services are available anywhere in the resort. A wide variety of transport is available from the front entrance including open top buses, classic limousines, taxi's, people carriers and horse drawn carriages. Incidentally walking in the countryside is safe in Cuba unlike some other Caribbean islands. You can tell I love the island and the people so I'll try hard to stop. If you haven't been and are thinking about it, well GO! you will love it.
One of the better videos well done. Been many times and still love it last visit may 17 already booked next year. Can't understand the few negatives flies birds etc hey it's the tropics and this is Cuba. Got to agree staff are best ever. Thanks again
Me and my partner went November 2016.. the best 2 weeks of our lives and this video is making us feel all nostalgic. Such a good detailed video!! I hope you had as good of a time as we did! We want to return in 2019
Just a point of interest.. when we were at the resort they had an small train that drove arounf the resort as peopel movers. This would explain the train tracks. You could also take the train to the closest town for a few pesos to shop.

The whole bay is a great place for snorkelling! Especially opposite Costa Verde Hotel. I have found baby barracuda, baby stingray, lots of other fish that will come to you and eat off your hand. I give them bananas and I think people have been feeding them there for years! To all those that will tell me off. Don't give them bread!

Hi, very cool and informative video on this resort so far...... But I am so very curious on your specific trip details please. Where did you fly from, when in March did you travel ( typically it is very busy during all of March, being March break, but it does not look busy at all , that seems odd ) , what level / grade room selection did you choose ( standard, premium , etc. ) , what did you pay each to stay for the week,
We flew Sunquset from Toronto mid march. It is busy here at meal times, the restaurants are full but you can always get seated. We are early risers so most of this video is shot between 7:30 and 9:00 am. We just got the standard package, flight, transportation, hotel all inclusive. Approx $1450 each CDN. Best hotel we have stayed in Cuba so far.
Too the rock close to the trees are what,,,i will tell you what that is...people that are repentant after 6 or 7 times they will plant a tree for you....lol,,lol

Chris H Not a problem when we were there. No mosquitos or too many birds. They spray for mosquitos and the birds are not a problem.
