Thanks very much! Extremely instructive. I've squandered so many winning rook and pawn endgames and even after analyzing my mistakes still didn't have a proper conceptual grasp of what I should have been doing instead. Extremely helpful.
Fantastic video, thanks for that. I think I learned more in that 12 minutes than I have slaving over endgame books for the last year. I am going to see what other stuff you have out there.
Hmmm, in rook endgames it is always so difficult to figure out where to put your rook, and about 60% of the moves in the games shown in this video feel like "Why here?"
Thanks Rob great lesson! I've been studying theoretical and strategic endgames extensively but lessons like this really help reinforce these ideas. Love it! How can we get you more subs? Are you on twitter?
Very principled. Unfortunately Whites back rank was still weak. If Ree7 then ....Rd1+, Re1 Rxe1#. And black wins. So white had to make luft before he could think about doubling on the 7th.
Good one ...❤ one suggestion plsz upload video without notation which was coming during d video ...as notation is so.big that sometimes we cannot see d pieces
This is the most practical lesson someone could watch ! God bless you we are looking for more

Wanted to add: having a name (chuck and run) to label the plan is a great way to help remember things. Good stuff.
A more appropriate title for my situation, 'So you're losing 90% of your Rook and Pawn end games. Here's why.'😁
LOL 😆

Whoever said all rook endgames are drawn should watch this video
Awesome! Keep those endgames coming.
Really nice 👍
Very instructive principle. Thank you!

Not yet. I probably should get on Twitter. LOL
Thank you Sir, very helpful
Wow. Such a great video. Thank you.
This is gold.
Useful, cheers.
Very instructive! Is this just a coincidence that in two of your examples the running pawns were a and h pawns? Are they better at running?
Great title Robert! (This is Bert.) I'm now a subscriber. 🙂
Thanks. It means a lot coming from you.
I literally lost one today while up a passed pawn. The problem is that My king is always far away from the passed pawn
White could bring the 2 rooks together to the 7th rank. But he will be praying that black doesn't pay attention that he has a checkmate in 2.
Sort of a shame to play hope chess in an endgame where you have a huge advantage. LOL
At least I share one thing with Bobby Fischer
Yes. Every chess master was once a Beginner. LOL
What was wrong with putting both rooks on the 7th rank? looks more principled to me.

Great video. I've got to say that you really nailed the title on this one too. It definitely made me want to click quickly. Keep up the great work.
awesome, a million like you deserve.
