Please clarify sir...
I was about to buy paperlike. But after hearing this I completely changed my mind. Can you please suggest any alternative or would you recommend using a naked screen? Mostly I would be using this for my research and writing purposes.
Just bought a pretty pricy iPad and looking for a great screen protector when I saw all the ads for Paperlike. After purchasing the iPad, $40 MORE for this seems steep compared to the average screen protector. If it was durable, then it would be worth it. Thanks for saving me the cost and heartache in 2022.
Thanks to somebody who actually WORKS the screen a lot, really helpful to know, that it‘s quickly run down like that. I won‘t buy PaperLike thanks to you.
Thanks for this excellent report. I made the same mistake too. I will never install it on my new 2021 M1 iPad 12.9. In fact I will not install any screen protector on my new iPad. iPads are not iPhones. They do not need screen protector. I bought a a Smart Folio and a sleeve for my iPad. That’s the protection I need.
Thanks for the video! I am a student and just got the iPad Air and am looking for a screen protector. How has your experience been with the apple pencil and the tempered glass screen protector? I have seen artists say that the lines are not straight and accuracy is reduced with tempered glass. Do you find this bothersome when writing notes? I will primarily use the iPad for notetaking, not drawing or art. Thanks again!
It's true that writing on tempered glass is not completely accurate compared to a matte screen protector. But you get used to it. Writing experience is best on matte. If you are ok with slightly reduced display quality then go for any other matte screen protector like iCarez, Supershieldz, or an Indian brand 'scratchgard'. But remember - writing will be fun, but reading won't be so much fun with matte due to that rainbow/grainy appearance. That's why i am back to a tempered glass coz I got used to it and text appears crisp and clear while reading.
@@chiselbhatia Thanks for your reply! It was very helpful. I think I'll go with tempered glass, for the display quality and I can use it long-term and won't need to replace my pencil tips.
