I received my Casio ctx700 a week ago and I am absolutely blown away by how it sounds that AIX chip technology just does it justice that rich powerful sound I bought it brand new from eBay for £199.00 here in uk. I do like some of the rhythms that’s built in, but others I don’t really care for. And the songs which I can mostly play are good, I do love the keys and really prefare these key type rather than the ones with the gap underneath the key. Also the lcd screen is really clear to read, I am going through the keyboard manual and figuring out what the keyboard does and it’s features, but for the price I have paid it’s just a phenomenal keyboard indeed. Casio have done an amazing job making this keyboard. Thank you so much. 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
Mine arrived this morning, wow! Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful sound, I will love learning on this. Much more solid and beautiful than I thought it would be. Plastic, yes, but looks and feels solid. Thanks for this video!
Glad I dropped into a store today and found out about this new range coming out. Will be looking to get one of these for my son when they are available in Australia
Just ordered a CT-X800 as successor for my old Technics from 1989 for 220 Euros special price from Amazon. So excited because it comes tomorrow. Thanks a lot for the hints on that great keyboard, Chuck.
Angelheart 76 Yep, the CT-X800 is a better choice that the CT-X800 because of the pitch bend wheel and the possibility to insert an USB stick to save/upload date to the keyboard.
Jay Bertram Got mine one month ago, it is really fantastic value for money. The only drawback is that you can’t adjust the relative volume level of the Upper1, Upper2 and Lower voices.

The CT-X series is a serious game_changer for those of us who have been learning to play on a budget. The piano samples are a significant improvement over the previous CTK series which I believe it was designed to replace. You mentioned that there are 20 piano samples - is that just acoustic tones? Also what's the heartburn between 5 pin din midi as opposed to usb midi?
Hi Chuck. Thanks for an excellent review and demonstration of the CT-X700. I have one and I just had a question on how to connect my android cell phone to the keyboard to play audio files to sing and play along with the music and how I cancel or mute out the vocals. Thanks so much

Hi, wonderfully played.... I have the same keyboard. I need one help. I want to play one song where i need quick access for piano, strings, and flute for instant change, how can save for quick play...
I just got my keyboard a few days ago and, despite having had two others over the years, I am slowly getting used to this and its settings. Question: the volume of the right hand seems very loud and even with turning down the 'accompaniment volume', only the left hand below the split point appears to get softer. I am using the auto -assist chords #5 setting.: 5 finger assist . Thanks so much for this video. Do you have more detailed vieos going over functions?
Jeremy See reviewed it and said you cannot adjust the volume when using the layering function (both tones are the same volume). How much of a problem do you see this as?

Hey Chuck. Any reviews on the Casio CT-X5000 with all the bells and whistles. Thinking about buying soon.Seen the CXT-700 just the extra stuff review. Value your opinion.
Thanks Rusell. Unfortunately, I won't be getting my CTX-5000 review unit until at least mid-July (will review shortly after that)... but this is one board I'm really looking forward to reviewing - they've done a lot of things right!! If you're looking to buy, I can get awesome prices now (pre-order) or when they become available again around mid-July but they're selling fast! Check the website and hit "email for special price" next to the CT-X5000.
The sounds are good, but once again Casio needs to improve the decay and sustain on their pianos. It’s much too short. I have their top end MZX-500 and it also has the same issue.
I just bought one of this (?) same model in 2021. Should be here after Christmas. Any what to do's or not to do's from you? Oh, I don't play keyboard. I did take guitar notation.
The piano and ep sounds seem genuinely listenable. I mean, especially at this price point, but even if you're doing a small gig, they seem manageable. Personally though I know a guy that runs a Casio from the previous generation for short church gigs, and finds enough to sound fine.
@ this price point, this is the closest that I've seen an arranger come to emulating brass and woodwinds with minimal synthesizer 'aftertaste'. You know how when you drink diet sodas you're left with that horrid lingering aftertaste? That's the feeling i get when listen to some professionally recordings where they couldn't pay a few horn players and tried to emulate the sound on a keyboard
Hi Chuck, will you also demo the CDP-S350? Basically a CT-X800 with more pianos and E-pianos, 88 weighted keys and an optional 3-pedals pedalboard. Might just be cool.
Most likely not. CDP-S350 is a European model which will only be available in the USA exclusively from Guitar Center. No other Casio dealers in the USA (including myself) have access to this model at this time unless we go to Guitar Center to buy it --- that's NOT going to happen! Eventually their exclusivity will end, but we don't know when at this point.
Hi Chuck I have a question I live in a country where the electricity is 230 V and I wanna take this keyboard to a place where it is 110V does it come with an adapter? do you think it will work if I make this move?
Chuck you should get the amazon affiliate program so you can put links in the description and if someone picks it up you get a cut of the money and it doesn't add to the price.
