  • I just picked this up on Monday.. cleaned it.. mounted the scope.. and headed to the range.
I went Tues March 5th.. and shot it with the muzzle break. Then on Wed March 6th.. I went back to the range and shot it without the muzzle break!
I like this rifle a lot better without the muzzle break!
Is there a difference in recoil.. I'm not sure.. but having that blast is no longer an issue :)

I posted this again due to COPYRIGHT issues 😕
Adding sound effects seems to be the issue.. I'll know better the next time 😊

YUP! I had the similar issue when I had the radio on 🤨 while I was filming.

Super nice looking Rifle . I fired my CVA Scout Rifle in 35 Whelen yesterday. 5/4/24. I left the muzzle break on it's loud . I was using Hornady Super performance ammo 200 grain . I plan on hunting in the Black Hills of South Dakota if I get a tag.

Thanks brother.. it definitely is too loud with the muzzle break!
If I'm being honest.. the recoil seems the same with or without! Mines definitely staying off!
They're nice rifles.. especially for the money!
Hopefully you draw a tag and get to break your 35 Whelen in.. that would be awesome!
Thanks for the comment and sharing your story.. much appreciated!

... I have the "SCOUT" non-takedown version which you can takedown anyway by removing the butt stock (takes about 2 minutes with the right sized Allen wrench) without disturbing the stock:barrel fit and that makes for more consistent accuracy between takedowns and re-assemblies

@@DouglasPrice-p9q that's right.. but either way it's not shifting
At least as far as I know.. you're not messing with the scope and rings and bases either way.

After removing the muzzle break, was the recoil more noticeable ?

    • @blackie1of4
      @blackie1of4  6 місяців тому +2

@@williamarmstrong392 I honestly didn't notice a difference.. and due to the weight of the firearm.. it was nicer without the brake!
The break that comes with it is extremely loud!

That would make sense.. I don't know what the differences are regarding other break down calibers.. but it can't be much!
I asked another person the same thing.. cause he had two of the break down CVA Scouts
