The 3D animation in such an era was impressive. It gave me a vibes. Such as The Christmas Light from 1995, Annoying Orange's story time videos, and even Baldi's Basics.
I actually quite like it. It's very clean, minimalistic and provides a nice change of pace from the triteness of anime. Definitely fits with the futuristic theme, too.

for a PS1 this is a lot of cutscenes with voice acting and the pre-rendered cutscenes actually look quite nice
