You are doing amazing and your driving has improved so much! It's completely normal to make mistakes, that's the best way to learn. Stay positive and you'll get there very very soon. 🥰
Good that she just starts a conversation during independent driving. As in real life. I am now in the first 5 minutes and she looks confident. Thanks Aman for a nice video again.
Mahwish is just a nice person she needs to relax The more she is relaxed and listen to the driving instructor I know he's going to pass so driving test MAHWISH have faith in yourself.
I love how driving instructors do that flying out of the window motion! 😂 Their subtle way of telling you to go easy on the break without actually saying it!
Mahwish it was a very good drive It does take a while for things to sink in but when it does you will be more confident at the wheel take care both of you you have a brilliant instructor
Driving is hard to learn and scary too. You are trying and learning and receptive to feedback. You will get this, it’s a matter of when not if. Cheers!
Good to see Mahwish back. She did really well considering the gap since her last lesson. Making very good progress, which shows Mahwish is a good student. Keep it up, but don't leave big gaps between lessons.
I really wish she could see herself how others do! That was a really impressive drive and those mistakes are easily fixable in the grand scheme of things! If you read this- have some confidence in yourself, you’re doing great!
I passed my driver's test last week, (Im American, so the rules are a bit different here), with 10 points (The equivalent of 3 minors). I have been loving binging these videos ever since. I find it interesting how different a lit of this stuff is compared to over here! ^^
Passed my driving test yesterday with 2 minors! Thank you for being an absolutely amazing instructor and for installing confidence in my ability to drive.
I've been watching your videos recently. the calm way you explain things is so nice to see. I can still remember how nervous I was at the beginning of driving sessions! keep up the good content :)
It's normal to feel nervous at the start! everyone takes in info differently t's great that you understand the way I explained it, thank you for watching 😊 💕
Not knowing your journey and what point you're at in your learning, you seem a very confident driver. Great spacial awareness (except for that one kerb) and only some minor changes and tweaks required to your driving to fix observation. Don't be so hard on yourself, you kept calling yourself stupid and you're not, you're just learning. Everyone else on the road sees those big, red 'L's on the car, so they expect mistakes. It's okay not to be perfect. And you said you understand all the mistakes you made, that's important, as well as using the feedback to make sure you correct those mistakes in future, one step at a time. You have a great instructor and you have all the tools to be a great driver 👍
Mahwish, look's confident, Be proactive, looking for potential hazards. The road's get narrow, with park vehicles and stop in a space on the left, gave way to an approaching vehicles. Well done.☺
Just wanted to come here to say that I passed today with 6 minors and it was the first time I took the test. My instructor was brilliant but using your videos to help, fill in the gaps and remind me of various aspects of driving definitely got me over the line today so thank you. ❤🎉
Ok, good to see mahwish again. As l said before, she's doing very well so far. I just need to see her doing the independent driving. That's particularly the important part of being a driver, especially for me
I did around 20h with an instructor no mock test no emergency stop practice not bonet explanations just watching videos online and did some driving with my dad sometimes and again 2-3 days before my exam . I failed first time because i forgot my signal on for some time on a motorway it was raining a lot no minors then i had the same instructor second time and passed no minors so serious faults it was everything perfect. Im very confident and i thank my dad a lot of teaching me how to drive and thank you to my instructor who took his time to explain how english people drive (me being from europe) its very different there people in the uk want things done as in the book as an example in Romania we dont check blind spots only mirrors we dont have check points no matter what u overtake u need to signal and so on. When im driving now i feel like i got my license years ago i got used to drive as english people do because i see how safe it is❤
I can’t believe I finally get to say my own “I just passed my driving test, anyways I’m saying it now”. I passed my driving test yesterday (18 July 2024) at the first attempt, but the best part is I absolutely passed with ZERO MINORS . I can’t find the right words but elated doesn’t cut it, I watched your videos every single day for the last 2 months gathering the information on all the failed mock test to see what they did wrong and took note of it. Thank you very much Aman, you don’t even know how much of a blessing you are to so many aspiring drivers out there , keep doing what you do 🙏
OK Mahwish let me describe it without using the word "bad", some of it was good, some of it was a bit panicked! Don't stress about the mistakes, we all make them. I'll let you into a secret don't tell anybody! Last week we had temporary traffic lights, they changed to red as I got to them. I put the handbrake on and popped my car into neutral, then I watched myself stick the clutch back in and select first and let the clutch out, DOOMPH! I actually said out loud "what the hell did you do that for" You're doing really well despite that you've had that break. Just relax I can see the driver you're going to be. Looking forward to your next video.
For new drivers how to find a safe place to park.. if the kerb is flat it's a driveway.. you can park where the kerb is raised.. hope this helps.. because it's rather confusing when you 1st start to drive.
Mahwish performed very good for not driving in 3 weeks, when you're starting it feels like an eternity and you do forget how to drive lol, but she's a very fast learner, very brave to learn in London and a humble person to accept her mistakes and improve, she's definitely on the right path to becoming a very good driver so congratz to both of you :) little advice, practice trusting more in yourself and please change your gears 😅
That's what ME want to say ," That wasn't Great but it was GOOD & SATISFIED ". Her driving was IMPROVED to Betterment. But today's VIDEO so LOVELY & FUN as BELOVED CAR INSTRUCTOR SMILE 😌💜
I started watching your videos months before I scheduled a driving lesson. My instructor told me that they didn’t have any major problems with me because I seem to know what I’m doing😅 Thanks, Aman and students! I’m on my last session tomorrow for polishing and will probably get my license in the next few weeks.
I did an intensive 2 week to prep for test which fell through. I then didn't drive for a little over a week and when I resumed my lesson I stalled trying to move off because I lifted clutch too early plus I messed up the order of the POM routine. Shows what I am rusty about. When I'm a bit anxious I have a tendency to be 'soft' with controls: not steering fully, not breaking progressively, not pressing clutch enough (i let it push me off :O)
Mahwish can already drive the car and could probably pass her test. Just needs to be less dependent on the instructor telling her what to do. She knows all the stuff she needs to, once she is properly watching and reacting to what is happening around the car she would pass.
Not knowing about engine braking, cutting corners, not properly checking mirrors, selecting the wrong gear multiple times, poor judgement on safe parking spaces (the last one could be forgiven I suppose) But the other ones are pretty serious things, if you're not aware of them you're just going to be a dangerous driver if you're given a licence. She also seemed to show lack of care at times, being told not to cut corners but still cut them, still selecting wrong gears and so on... There is a lot more depth to her issues than you make out. I don't think she's ready for an exam at all, seen much better drivers still fail their exams.
Good Lesson for Mahwish.😊 i haven’t driven in over a year now.😮 Test in September in a few weeks and need to find a instructor.😅 She had plenty of hours as she had around twenty hours with another instructor; so a good plan to want her to be independent. Many Learners learning Manuel would have had this problem of forgetting to change gear back to first gear in gear one when moving off 20:02 remarkably this would be a driving test fail too.😂 Even though she did the correct thing in waiting in give way line and stopping car completely.
Wait I don't understand what would be the fail from your message? Would you remind elaborating please? I'm another learner is all so just want to expand my knowledge 😄
@@misaq9606 once she moved onto the main road - Mahwish slowed down the car that was behind this car which was moving into the side road she was pulling out on. This would be a fail on a uk driving test for intervening with other cars when driving) and why Aman say in red, watch second car. Good smoothed driving. Be proactive, looing for potential hazard, awareness and observation. (Good Manuver) two car length! Doing great, keep on the good work. Well done.🏮
whats with the going straight over the mini roudabouts. And being prepared for upcoming situations like giving way and allowing those already passing cars to at least slow down for them. Be safe.
I have been driving for over 20years, havnt had an accident for 12 years, there have been some near misses. However based on your videos I would probably fail now, I don;t tend to signal when entering rounf about only when existing also don't always check blind sport
Something to reccomend is wearing contact lenses instead of glasses when driving. As someone with poor eyesight, I found that I would cut corners and have a wrong perception of situations on the road as I drove with glasses on. Whereas lenses give you that same even vision, even in your peripheral. Definitely something to recommend, it may help Mahwish significantly.

I'm curious, do you teach your pupils to signal every time before moving off from the side of the road ? I noticed a couple of times there were cars coming past and she still put the right signal on, its a misleading signal, it says she intend to pull out and may cause other drivers to react. Given that the DVSA use the same standards for examiners throughout the country, I find it odd that you haven't been pulled up for your pupils doing this. As I've commented before, I'm an ADI so it's always interesting to see these very old methods of teaching still being taught today. Ive been an ADI for 32 Years and this automatic signalling for moving away was dropped even when I learned to drive in the 1980's. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
might be a silly question but is it okay to move from second to first gear (like at a slow/tight turn) while still moving? i've had conflicting advice where someone suggested that you shouldn't move back to first at all unless the car is stationary or you could damage the gears
If you didn't make stupid mistakes you won't learn how to fix things. I can guarantee even after passing your test you are still good to make the odd mistake like wrong lame . As long as you have good observation and awareness and make the safe choice it is totally fine.
I have been driving for 50+ years and often have to avoid potholes both safely and legally. I would like to know if it is permissible to avoid potholes safely and legally on your driving test?
I don't get how the roads in the UK are like double direction pretty much everywhere and at the same time allow parking within that single lane. Such a bad design. In Greece all these roads would be single direction or not allow parking. It's not considered normal for different directions to be sharing the same lane.
Bro probs no one is gonna care but my insurance is going from 1800 per year down to 1000, only 1 year of having a car so far... The extra money is deffo going towards a car emergency fund🎉
Learners will point out random things like " I didnt know you can park there" to distract from speaking about the previous mistakes. Almost out of nervousness.
You do have to do the theory part first but you miss understand my point. She probably knows but said it to move on the conversation. (Could be wrong in this instance but you see it a lot in learners)
From one apologetic to another, you're apologising too much if you're saying sorry for every single mistake. Your instructor would have no hard feelings. It's part of their job to expect mistakes from learners. I know. Easier said than done to not apologise for everything.
I've used to apologise quiet a lot for my mistakes during driving lessons. My instructor has always responded "No, don't apologise. You don't have to apologise. I am ur instructor. I don't tell you about your mistakes in order to get an apology from you. I'm telling you about them so you can learn and grow as a driver." 😁❤️
I heard when you thank people for giving way? Are you aware that you are not even suppose to give people a thank you wave? It can be a £100 fine if you get caught. When you think about it its taking your hands of the wheel and its driving without been fully in control.
I have not heard about that, in terms of saying thanks or to acknowledge other drivers You don’t want to take your hands off the wheel. If it feel like it will distract you in any way, then you simply don’t do it
Nobody has ever been fined for a thank you wave. You don't even need to take your hands off the wheel just simply raise the fingers hands are still on the wheels If you are too hot are you not going to take your hands off the wheel
@@wrightwoodwork If the wheel is too hot to touch then stop wait and pull over until it is cooled down. For giving a thank you wave it was something I heard during an internet zoom session with HGV last year. Its just not worth giving a thank you wave and defiantly flashing your headlights
@@wrightwoodwork I see thought you meant when you first step inside after its been parked in the hot sunshine. Changing the heater and demisting the windows that's just like changing gears so it would be essential and you would have your other hand on the wheel

You do have to do the theory part first but you miss understand my point. She probably knows but said it to move on the conversation. (Could be wrong in this instance but you see it a lot in learners)

@@giork2828 Yes, thank you for that revolutionary correction. I'll be sure to pass that onto the auto correction text developers.
Hey Aman I was wondering how much are your driving lessons per hour?
What about the standards check
Do we really need to stop the engine breaking
Ill never understand why people sit so close to the steering wheel
Does the car have an automatic handbrake?
When moving off she should signal last she does it too early
Can we talk out loud during test?
Yes during tests the examiner will usually make small talk with you 😊

do you find it strange when pupils dont apologise for making mistakes? im always so apologetic when i make a mistake
You’re learning no need to apologise they know you’ll make mistakes
Where there is no rule.

Why does Mahwish need to go to the gym for? She is fit enough as it is 💗💓
Sounded like she barely went to it anyway, 30mins over 2weeks or something? lmao.
gym isn’t always about how you look lol, keeping active regardless of your physique is important
Going to the gym is more than looks. It's about building confidence in yourself releasing good hormones.
Maybe she wants to build strength, or improve mental health, or address aches and pains. What a weird comment
This girl is for Automatic gearbox, not for manual...
It just takes practice.
There are plenty of long time drivers that still fault using the clutch
I heard when you thank people for giving way? Are you aware that you are not even suppose to give people a thank you wave? It can be a £100 fine if you get caught. When you think about it its taking your hands of the wheel and its driving without been fully in control.
I have not heard about that, in terms of saying thanks or to acknowledge other drivers
You don’t want to take your hands off the wheel.
If it feel like it will distract you in any way, then you simply don’t do it
Nobody has ever been fined for a thank you wave. You don't even need to take your hands off the wheel just simply raise the fingers hands are still on the wheels
If you are too hot are you not going to take your hands off the wheel
@@wrightwoodwork If the wheel is too hot to touch then stop wait and pull over until it is cooled down. For giving a thank you wave it was something I heard during an internet zoom session with HGV last year. Its just not worth giving a thank you wave and defiantly flashing your headlights
@suzukidaniel1396 how hot does your wheel get the point is hands come off the wheel to change the heating put the windows down etc
@@wrightwoodwork I see thought you meant when you first step inside after its been parked in the hot sunshine. Changing the heater and demisting the windows that's just like changing gears so it would be essential and you would have your other hand on the wheel
