Best thing about this coaster is 1) It's very long. So you get what you paid and waited for. 2) It's all built on the ground and has a very scenic view while you're on it. It's nice how whoever designed it, wanted to appreciate the and incorporate the surrounding areas. Respect x
It was a similar track length to the Beast too. Ultimate was a few hundred longer but both in the 7000s. Only Steel Dragon 2000 has topped them. Remains the only coaster to be 8000 or longer. Wonder who and when will be the first to hit 9000?
Sat here 6 years later, howling laughing at the screams and commentary over how painful it is, as I reminisce about riding this years ago and enduring the exact same shock of pain and thrill. It was an incredible experience, and i am looking back as i mourn the fact that it's been removed from the park. Good times... really good times.
Went on this on Sunday, loved it but it can be really rough near the front, sounds daft but I stick teddy's or pillows on the side of the restraints to stop my knees from banging about watch my vlog to see how lol
After riding this for the first time 2 weeks ago I can say this ride is absolutely incredible!! I actually really enjoy how rough it is it adds a good thrill! Back seat and front are incredible! I really rate this ride highly ! :)
I remeber going here when a youngster this is such a weird coaster will probably leave you with bruises but it's quite a peaceful trip round and scenic other than that
I remember going on it in 2015 and there was a lot more trees. Still a pretty good ride, though. A real shame you have to wait 30-40 mins in line to get on it.
This was a lot of fun to watch. It looks like an awesome coaster and I'd love to ride it someday. Judging by the video, it seems like an awfully bumpy ride though!
Look at the dent in the track at 3.54, that doesn't look safe ;( Pretty hairy coaster, I love how it's laid out through the woods really close to the ground..
There are things I both like and dislike about this coaster. If I was to rate it out of 10, I would give it a 5. It's not bad, but it's not great either, it has it's quirks however there is still lots of fun to be had riding this, so it's worth a having a one or two rides on it during your visit. The things I really like about this coaster is the fact that I love "Terrain Coasters" and it's long length. Although unfortunately, you spend most of the ride on the notoriously slow lift hills and coasting at a very slow speed just before the second drop. The first part of the track (after the first drop) is a little bit too slow paced to excite, especially over the crests towards the end, however the same applies to other parts of the track too. You may think that during that time you can enjoy just a scenic cruise through the park, but this is a very rough coaster! So to the point where it is more rickety than some of the worst Northern Rail trains, so there is lots of knee bashing going on (although I do keep hearing that it's better when you are further towards the back of the train). Apart from those few downsides, the momentum from the drops and flying through the high speed turns through the woods, as well the helixes are the awesome parts of the ride, which makes this coaster worth riding during your visit, if you don't mind the roughness. It also has a fair few interesting things going for it too, such as this coaster ironically being made by British Rail. The fact that it looks like a wooden/hybrid coaster, despite being steel, plus it also looks like a backyard roller coaster in many places. This coaster has also hit two deers over it's life (showering passengers in blood!). Also is this supposed to be a roller coaster or miniature railway? This coaster is sure one of the most interesting right!? ;)
PHAEDRIDER it has more wooden supports than most wooden coasters do lol !! No you are right it’s not classed as a hybrid it is a steel coaster but it has a mixture of both so you can call it whatever
What about the ride actually hurt? Was it cos of the knee space or the general jolting? I've had a previous back injury but love rollercoasters so need to be careful about which I go on x
😂😂 I went on it four times while I was there, it's a long drive for me and not sure if I'd go on many rollercoasters again even I I did go, do you know the dinosaur one? that got reopened up while I was leaving because it got closed briefly, the whole reason I went to lightwater valley
It’s always sad seeing rides and coasters being taken out and it will be missed but omg it was brutal so I won’t miss it that much, however it should have been saved and re tracked
Wow! From 1991 and I never heard of this coaster before. I don't think I have ever seen a terrain coaster that makes as good a use of the terrain as this one, and I have seen quite a few: The Kennywood coasters, Boulderdash, Rollo Coaster, The Beast. Just to name a few. Is this in an actual park? I don't see any other rides around...just lots of farmland.
Diaval yeah it’s in a theme park in North Yorkshire and is the second longest coaster in the world at almost 2 miles long, the coaster is at the far end of the park and it’s goes out a long way, you can’t see anything from it lol
Great idea for a coaster, could have been executed better but a legend all the same. Managed to get on it once before it was closed, still got rhe back problems to prove it 🤣
OutC_ Britto I use an official GoPro handle that has a foam grip and wrist strap ! I have a steady hand and follow the ride as it goes round to keep it stable ! The GoPro I use is the Hero Session
Yeah it’s very sad to see it closed for another season and sadly I don’t think it will ever open again as Lightwater Valley is now aimed at young children
I want to see some park build a modern steel coaster that 1-ups this coaster's record for longest by duration and absolutely shits on that record by making their coaster's time not including lift hills longer than the ultimate including lift hills
You sounded like you were in agony
Joshua Bashore just a bit lol
When you ride it you are in agony
Luke Fraser still a good coaster though
That's Network rail for you lol
When I went on it I kept bashing my head...🤕; but it was a good ride
10/10!!
Best thing about this coaster is 1) It's very long. So you get what you paid and waited for. 2) It's all built on the ground and has a very scenic view while you're on it. It's nice how whoever designed it, wanted to appreciate the and incorporate the surrounding areas. Respect x
Completely agree. This was my first favourite roller coaster as a kid. Many happy memories of it 😊
This is the weirdest coaster I've ever seen. It's like The Beast and an alpine coaster met in a bar one night and one thing lead to another.
Jersey Jimmy it was almost made by British Rail lol
Jersey Jimmy its amazeballz xD
It was a similar track length to the Beast too. Ultimate was a few hundred longer but both in the 7000s. Only Steel Dragon 2000 has topped them. Remains the only coaster to be 8000 or longer. Wonder who and when will be the first to hit 9000?
Favourite ride at light water valley 👌🏻
BethKaitlyn_xx isn't it the only ride
.
BethKaitlyn_xx the only ride lol
it’s closed this year :/
@@elliebailey1350yep but they left the shack and fence to enter ghosted, going back it looks haunted now lol.

Absolutely bloody love this coaster! Think it might be my favourite lol xx
ive been on it 5 times and once you go over the second drop its bloody violent it will leave you with bruses
First time I went on it I got home and I think I had like ten new bruses....
lived this experience. Got priority passes and sat front row with my friend. Total highlight of my youth
I went today, best ride I've ever been on my head banged so much on the seat
Went on this on Sunday, loved it but it can be really rough near the front, sounds daft but I stick teddy's or pillows on the side of the restraints to stop my knees from banging about watch my vlog to see how lol
I hold the restraints from the bottom, so if my knees shoot upwards, they hit my hands.
Rob Haley me and my mate went on this my knees started banging her and the restrains
I'm really gutted that this is gone! And the Rat trap. Don't think I'll bother returning to LWV unfortunately 😞
We won’t be visiting again that’s for sure, what a shame
I went on this at just 7 years old with my Dad (I’m 25 now) and it practically scarred me for life from roller coasters!
Oh no that’s horrible 😖🥺
Brilliant, underrated coaster. Just ride it further back. I've been as far forward as the third row and was left unhurt.
This thing looks more like an industrial-era public transit vehicle than an amusement ride
Well, considering it was built by British Rail... xD
That is the best coaster ever i even sat at the back and i still love it😀
the best two thrilling hill climbs in the world
I loved this coaster, it was such a unique experience. Never ridden anything quite like it. Second half is really fun.
Not any more it’s being torn down.
Rust in peace😢
This is the best roller coaster I've ever been on!!! I live about 1 hour away from light watervalley!
After riding this for the first time 2 weeks ago I can say this ride is absolutely incredible!! I actually really enjoy how rough it is it adds a good thrill! Back seat and front are incredible! I really rate this ride highly ! :)
Blackpool Pleasure Beach 2018 so bad it’s good lol 👍🏻👍🏻
Coaster Crazy yesss😂
If this had smoother track profiling this would be such a legendary ride
Coaster Pro definitely! It would make a world class RMC convert
Brilliant coaster but so rough and not forget the bruises to come on my knees, first visit today.
You know its an awesome ride when youre making yells of pain lmao "OWWWWWWWWW"
RIP 😢 had some good times on here really brought back memories 😊
Why RIP? You know you can still go on it right?
@@matanfgaming640you know they removed it right?
Historic footage now this as it’s be demolished.
Best rollercoaster I've ever been on! Classic
watching this, it seems like some fairly cheap padding on the seats might go a long way
Got on the front of this about 2 years ago. Couldn't enjoy it for the really rough shaking and bumping
Thanks for the ride!!!
Gutted this is no longer in operation 😢
So am I
@@Coaster_Crazy it’s just for kids now isn’t it?
I have done it a few times it is so bonkers. By the way great vidio
😂 I remember going on this ride and I was screaming my head off and my dad was sitting next to me laughing at me 😆
I went on this yesterday that is why I am watching I loved it so much Xx
I've been there and man, that ride is soooooo fun!
If you ever go to lightwater valley you have to go on this it's incredible
Loving your videos. I was there yesterday and due to my belly I had airtime from the bottom of the first drop until the second lift :D
I just got back from light water valley
I went with my friend for a day and we got front row loads it’s so insane
It takes so long to go on last time it took 2 hours!
Magestic Lemon best go when the park is quiet then as it was walk on for us 👍🏻👍🏻
We went in a random time in October where it was our half term and not there's
Andy pain sounds are some of the best sounds to hear.
"Aaauuugghhhh!!"
Sad to say good bye to a great coaster.
“Great” lol
I remeber going here when a youngster this is such a weird coaster will probably leave you with bruises but it's quite a peaceful trip round and scenic other than that
Shame it was pulled down and scrapped 2yr ago
Wow, Looks great I think lol I'd love to ride it
Slothy Vlogs it's bonkers lol
2:00 that noise is lovely 😂😂😂😂
Would you mind if this roller coaster footage is used in something I am making? Thanks, let me know.
I remember going on it in 2015 and there was a lot more trees. Still a pretty good ride, though. A real shame you have to wait 30-40 mins in line to get on it.
Looks rough as toast mate 🤣
It is, it’s brutal !!! And been closed at the park for 2 years now
before going on rides like this I always think how intense will the adrenaline be?
When I rode Ultimate it felt like riding a steel verison of the Beast with slightly less trees and a bit of a tamer finale.
This was a lot of fun to watch. It looks like an awesome coaster and I'd love to ride it someday.
Judging by the video, it seems like an awfully bumpy ride though!
You won't get to ride it, ride has been closed and word is its being removed :(
I remember the bar Infront of me was abit loose so when the turns came I was banging my head against my friend lmao
Oh dear
Could I use this footage for a history video I’ll be doing about the park? I’ll give your channel full credit
Yes of course
This is so intense after the second drop it goes mental you bang your head and get bruises still amazing thi
Look at the dent in the track at 3.54, that doesn't look safe ;( Pretty hairy coaster, I love how it's laid out through the woods really close to the ground..
Went on this on Friday. Smashed my knee on too lol

I ❤️ This Coaster!
McPizzaPerson how come you love this and hate the grand national!
When it's raining and your on the ultimate. The rain is like someone is slapping you right in the face
Ok light water valley is not the best theme park, but this ride is great! My sister did get stuck on it though! :O
10kchallangePleaseSub I Bloxy Life oh that’s a shame
Coaster Crazy no she loved it! xD
World's most brutal miniature railway. If over 6 minutes long and going that high can be called miniature, which, of course, it can't.
Went on this yesterday I got so many bruises on the sides of my knees this thing kills
One of my favourites at LWV
it isnt a hybrid, though. it's a steel coaster with some wooden supports
PHAEDRIDER it has more wooden supports than most wooden coasters do lol !! No you are right it’s not classed as a hybrid it is a steel coaster but it has a mixture of both so you can call it whatever
Hello Coaster Crazy. Can I use this video in a non-profit explanation video I'm making? Will give full credit of course!
Theme Park UK yeah sure no worries 😉
Thanks alot! :)
Look like a much larger version of Thunderation at SDC. And as someone who loved that ride. I'm pretty sad by this Coasters closire
What about the ride actually hurt? Was it cos of the knee space or the general jolting? I've had a previous back injury but love rollercoasters so need to be careful about which I go on x
Leasha Pridmore *whiplash*
Do not go on it. Ugh.
ha, the first rollercoaster I ever went on.
*haven't been on one since.*

My dads(62y/o) 2nd best coaster, the Big Dipper is his 1st

Eddie's Adventures lol 😂
I’m surprised the train didn’t fly off the track at those turns after the second drop

I went on the black Pearl
What mount did u record this on.cos it's stable considering how fast and bumpy the ultimate is or did u use a stabilizer

@@Coaster_Crazy it’s stupid
My friend has some strong opinions on this ride, they said that they wouldn't want Lyndra Lynn to ride it (if it was still open)!
Ok 🤷🏼♂️
Shame i never managed to get this one... Looked painful tho but so unique
And unfortunately currently being demolished, a sad end to a amazing coaster.
Very sad indeed
I've went on the ultimate before and the g-forces are TOO MUCH
Seriously tho it was very painfull
“Owwww……. Ohhhoohohoooo”
Been here bout 7 times and flamingo land I been on ultimate 9 times and eagles claw 4 times and black pearl 3 times going back on 7 th July
Ive been on the ultimate and eagles claw
The most violent ride in England!
Twin Legends and probably the most fun at the same time lol 😂
Good POV 👍
Its is so fun I love it

this ride is so rough but nice thrill
Oh man I miss this thing they closed it at Covid time 😢
i got stuck on that ride yesterday
praxina lolirock gaming awesome 😎
When this track was bad, what did they say to my tracks (in a game) ?????!!!!!!

Jedd Cullinan it’s fast in some parts but mostly very very slow, it takes about 9mins in total
@@Coaster_Crazy ah nice

Yes it’s very sad 😞
