    Hi Guys!
Here is my last Vlog from the holidays. I know Vlogmas is over but I celebrate Christmas time until January 6th because the Three Wise Men are more important for me than Santa, hence this video is still relevant for me and I hope you find it entertaining.
    I share:
    - My Birthday
    - Tips on how to find a job in Switzerland if you are a foreigner
    - Unboxing and try on off-white winter coats from Zalando.

Hey Jessica! I love your videos and the content you are making. May I ask a question? Does the work contract also adequate for non-EU citizens? Because as far as I know, the company or I must provide a document covering the estimated expenses per year.Thank you in advance 💕😊

What about the language? Is it necessary to know German/Swiss German to apply for a job in Zurich? Which level of knowlege is necessary? Are there English speaking jobs for foreigners with university education and proficiency in English?

Thanks for your questions. I'll make a video on these questions and more over the weekend and publish it next week on my channel. In the meantime, I can tell you that there is definitely a big market for English speakers, especially for jobs that require higher qualifications such as university and master degree. That being said, if you speak the local language (no need to speak Swiss German, High German is enough) it will grant you access to a larger amount of opportunities. If you are planning to come live in the German part of Switzerland, I highly recommend learning the language, at least the basics. It is very much appreciated by locals when you do the effort but it is not a must to get a job. Don't let that hold you back from applying for jobs. You can always continue learning while you are here.

@@jessicahdez6065 thank you very much for the reply. When I heard at one of your videos that you are from Barcelona, I though if she had strength to leave Barcelona for Zurich, anyone can leave the hometown. There is not other city like Barcelona, so beautiful in every aspect.

@@MsShampita I’m originally from Gran Canaria (one of the Canary Islands in Spain) but I have lived in Barcelona as well as in Madrid and in Germany (Cologne). If leaving your hometown is making you feel scared or nervous, you should know that it’s completely normal. We are all scared of change and leaving our comfort zone to venture ourselves into the unknown. I still freak out every time I make a big change like that but I keep doing them because I’ve learned that that’s an amazing way to grow. You expose yourself to so many new things: a country, a new culture, a new way of living, new rules, bureaucracy and new ways of communication, not only the language but also the way you say things. You must become tolerant and open-minded in a short-period of time in order to be successful and integrate in the new country. I cannot think of any other way to go through such a big learning curve while staying in your hometown. I always encourage people to at least give it a try once in their lives because it’s worth it. Even if things don’t go well, you still learn something out of it and guess what? You can always come back home😊
