I received many questions from you via my instagram account (@galonduty) regarding the cost of life in Switzerland, hence this video!
I covered all general basic monthly costs:

Bear in mind that the numbers I shared are just a reference and will vary depending on the location where you will live and your lifestyle.

remember, zürich is the most expensive city in switzerland, maybe geneva is close. the median income in zürich is like 7.8k a month while in the rest of switzerland its about 6.5k. so prices for going out to eat and housing are way more expensive there. rents rising to the sky because there are alot of young single guys / girls going to zürich to work that will earn over 10k a month and dont care that much if rent is over 3k. like in basel a dönerkebab costs you maybe 7-8 franks, in bern 9-10 and in zürich i would say its even 12+ and that goes for all the things you dont buy in a supermarket.

Thank you for your comment. Indeed the cost of life is high. I find it important to emphasize that to foreigners because as an expat myself, the worth of something is intrinsic in our mindset and it still hurts to pay 3 or 4 times more for the same thing here despite any logic. Foreigners looking to come to Switzerland that might hear the high salaries need to understand the high cost of life. The heads up can help them be mentally prepared for the prices here. Si, tambien los he probado todos y concuerdo en que LIDL tiene muy buenos productos. Lo unico que depende de la zona donde a uno le pille. Aveces puede estar bastante descuidado, y da cosilla comprar ahi, con el tipo de gente que entra.

@@TheWealthyMindsAcademy Bueno yo ahora voy un Aldi a unos 10 minutos de casa que acaba de abrir hace un anyo y esta en una zona donde los apartamentos son caros, asi que suele estar bien. Pero si que me acuedo mucho del LIDL sobre todo la linea Deluxe.
