I am 30 weeks with an extremely active baby girl. When I say she moves and kicks NONSTOP I mean NONSTOP, nothing calms her down, until I started realizing when I watch your videos she always settles. I rest my phone against my belly so it makes sense. At first I thought I was a coincidence but I truly think it is your voice! So thank you, for giving a very tired mom some relief from the constant jabs to the ribs:) She’s going to come out of the womb with extensive makeup knowledge thanks to you!

I'm not one for spending too much on a skin cream but I decided to splurge and buy the dewy skin cream from Tatcha. I love it so so much. I also only use it in the morning because it just makes my skin look so moisturized for the day. This will be a constant repurchase for me.

I love the Hourglass foundation personally. For me the trick is using *very* little at first and building it up in thin layers. I also found that it doesn’t really work with a primer when I actually use one (which is once every 4 years or so). I just make sure to really take my time to buff it in and I actually love the end result

The Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is amazing. I have rosacea and dry skin. It’s light coverage , for me it’s enough to tone down the redness. It’s a great alternative to foundation.

Oooh! I'm gonna have to definitely give it a go. I have a lot of redness, though mine has gotten a smidge better from sticking to my skincare routine. But that's basically all I want in a base product. To cover up the bit of redness I have.

Am I the only one that thinks it’s unfair for expensive brands to charge for a pump?
Nars does it, Mac does it, I’m sure other companies do it too.

Yes I pay $42 for my esteelauder doubleware and an extra $10 for a pump. And it's a super crappy, cheap plastic pump. Doesnt even have a full cap. It comes with a tiny cheap cap that clips on the tip of the pump; small as a freaking dime.

Word to the wise about the IT Cosmetics fair shade, it is REALLY yellow undertoned. I bought it and looked a human lemon. Please go swatch it before you buy it and get a sample. I didn't and I regretted it so much. Especially because it oxidizes and darkens the longer you wear it. It is NOT for pale people.

Have you tried the CLEAN Reserve perfumes from Sephora?? They’re sooooo good and non offensive. I have allergies and lots of perfumes bother me (even tho I love perfumes). So my two favorite from the CLEAN Reserves are the acqua neroli and clean skin. Anyone reading this, please smell them and get some samples. There’s other smells also... you will not regret it! Chanel coco mademoiselle is so strong for me!

I’ve used the Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation and I’m someone with Combo skin. I’m oily in my T-Zone but more dry in my complexion. I tend to apply either the Milk Hydro Grip, Bobbi Brown Face Base or even MAC Comfort Crème (something moisturizing) as a Primer/Base. I take one pump on the back of my hand and dot small amount of foundation on each section of face and buff it into the skin in light layers. I think what really helps this foundation blend better is warming it up with your fingers, using a brush when applying it and finishing it off with a sponge.

In regards to the CT eyes to mesmerize, I have oily eyelids and love them so much! I just make sure to use a clear eye primer and don’t set it. Even though it does wear off some, it doesn’t crease much at all and wears all day. So pretty and my new favorite everyday eyeshadow. Would highly recommend.

Yass so glad you mentioned soft glam! LOVE the colors of that palette! I’d have to disagree on how well it blends though. Morphe has a great range of eyeshadows and I feel like they blend way better, I own the 350 palette and it’s amazing! But the colors in soft glam are so worth it and if you have the extra time to blend it together, they are beautiful:)

    Jessica,
I love your enthusiasm and thank you for mentioning the use of Ebates and their birthday in May when they award high cash back! I am showing my age with its level of cynicism, but I 😆 when people get so excited over 15-20% off. Makeup brands have us conditioned to spend $ without thinking and to believe 15-20%off is a HUGE DEAL, which it really isn’t. I realize it is better than nothing. Stacking the savings up with Ebates, makes the Sephora sale more worthwhile IMHO.

  • @paintedannie

you’re looking like actual perfection in this video. side note: pretty much any product that is a gloss, if you’re using it on the eyelid, it’s going to crease. that’s just the nature of the formula. some people can vibe with that worn in, messy eye - but ultimately the perfect glossy eye is only achievable in photos and for very short periods of time.

The fenty stix are not the creamiest things but I found that it works best by taking a brush ( I use a small contour brush) directly to the product and then straight to face. I also didn't enjoy the look of that cooler contour color so I went up to the shade mocha instead. I apply just the smallest amount to the brush because it's for deep skin and it gives me a warmer bronzier look.

If you love the Charlotte Tilbury contour wand, you should try out Beauty Pie. I use their contour wand every day. They have a warmer one and a cooler one. I'm pretty cool and the cooler one is perfect for my skin tone for both warming up my skin and giving some definition. It is super cheap and almost identical to Charlotte Tilbury. Also, if you do look it up, do not pass by their One Powder Wonder. I literally have two backups as I've panned two already. For dry skin, it is a must have. Also, their lip products, minus the satin finish ones, are to die for. They smell like MAC lipsticks and are just as good, if not better. I have a ton of makeup, like we all probably do, and I use those Beauty Pie products on a daily basis, as well as their cleansing products.

From high end mascaras my recent favorite has been Lancome Monsieur Big Waterproof version. I tried it before I met my friend casually in a coffee place during day time, and I felt almost embarrased about my huge doll lashes😳😄 They looked so amazing as if I would be having falsies. The lashes were curled before applying the mascara and the result was well worth for a hot date. Too bad that it wasn't the nature of my appointment that day😬 I have also used the Lancome Hypnose waterproof one, but I think the MonBig was cheaper and bigger tube, but both are good. MonBig has maybe thinner consistency but the wand is quite big as the name suggests. It was perfect for my invisible colored and straight lashes.

I love the Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation, the first time I Used it I didn’t though. I have to use a very Moisturizing moisturizer before I use the foundation and using anymore than half a pump looks cakey. You also have to blend it out in sections instead of applying it to your whole face at once because it stays where you put it.
It definitely has a learning curve but with how glassy and beautiful it makes my skin look, and how little product you have to use, it’s worth it.

Thanks for the recommendation as always. It cosmetics has a few new shades in the cc cream. I wear the fair light now because light was too dark for me except if I had fake Tanner on.

Where I work you can get the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm for about $14! Idk where you live but our stores are usually at Premium Outlets and Tanger Outlets.

    I really like milk products!
    I have the highlighter stick
I love how it melts into the skin giving a natural looking glow ( I’m 42 lol )
I’ll have to try that bronzer out 💞

Try fair light in the cc cream. I did that because the light was too dark for me.
I ordered Marie Antoinette because of you this morning 😊

I tried the glowing primer in a sample - it’s beyond good. I thought the same thing you did, gimmicky, but it’s not. Do you let in sink in for a while and do foundation brushes rub it off? I tried it once underneath something I put on with my fingers.

I bought fair in the it cc cream and it is too light. The fair light is always out of stock but it would be a better match.
