Under the curve power really shows in races . This is why i dont recommend big turbo kits on stock block, stock head cars . cant really rev it out to get to the top end power it makes , a stock location upgraded turbo would make more power and tq pretty much everywhere from 3500 rpm to about 65/6800rpm ish , only at the very peak will the full turbo kits shine
It would have been a good idea to get your head built or at least get S2s with springs & retainers. This would have given you more rpms to work with and you could be revving to ~8,100 which would help you out a lot more with this turbo. I would suggest looking into that! And like you said - brake boosting would also help you out here. Awesome build otherwise with nice, quality parts 💪
@@ykmedia3439 If you'll be doing a new clutch I would highly recommend to also replace your CMC while you're at it. The factory plastic cmc is terrible and it WILL go out. It's just a matter of when. I would recommend Magnus or AMS one.
Clean cars for sure. However, that turbo is far to big for a stock block. I run a JB FP Black on my FBO, Cams, and tuned Evo 9 and I'd say I'm in the sweet spot between 6k and 8400 rpm. I was pulling busses on stock 2020-2022 auto mustangs GT when I was on stock turbo making 420whp. Now I'm on a super conservative tune running 22psi on the FP Black and I pull busses on FBO 2020-2024 Mustang GT with any tranny. Turbo is too big for your power level
Stock frame would spank that 5.0 easy, way better spool
