Loving my solovair loafers, have the penny loafer pair and I can easily say these loafers are a good bang for your buck if you are starting off. They go so well with a lot of outfits and definitely would get an brown pair if able
Coincidentally I bought the Solovairs on the same day you posted. Still yet to arrive but looking forward to seeing how they shift the vibe of my existing wardrobe combinations plus what new ones they'll inspire.
Got this video recommended to me! I like it! I own a pair of Dr.Martens with Solovair soles, simply for the reason that Dr.Martens do NOT like selling replacement soles.
Your average cobbler cant repair your solovair soles. You have to find someone with a dedicated heat sealing machine to actually attach the sole to your shoe. They can only put on a substitute. Not to mention the cost of repairs for a boot nowadays might be 75% the cost of the boot depending on how much you spent. Its $120 now for soles alone, unless you go to a more basic cobbler.
Break ins are just stupid, my Yeezy 700s been the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever worn, and they still good as the day I got them 4 years ago, despite putting tens of thousands of KMs in them including a couple of Disney land trips. I prefer solovair over dr martens, but just wish these companies would improve their technology and actually make their shoes comfortable.
It's not technology it's the design. Your yeezys aren't full leather there's a lot of fabric in high bend areas. Leather boots like this don't do that so you gotta wear/break them in, getting the leather used to certain stress points.
Solovairs are the Docmartens we want.
Great review man, your editing keeps getting better. Lovely pair, Solovair has several cool silhouettes.
Thank you, trying to have more fun with it! Might be starting a solovair collection soon haha

Definitely eyeing a brown pair! Maybe their “dress shoes”
How was sizing. I have a couple of Solovair boots that I bought 1/2 size bigger than usual and fit well.
@@bngr_bngr they’re about the same as doc sizing. But they do have a size chart which helped me immensely
Your vid quality is great. Keep the work man

So exciting! I hope you enjoy em!

ALSO: People crying about break in should just stick to sneakers, you need to break in every leather shoe out there, regardless of brand.
Hey thanks for watching! Good idea on the different soles! And yes, definitely need to break them all in
@@Crodongood leather shoes don’t need to be broken in.
Great video Andrew!
Thanks man!
I wonder how many DM wearers are aware of Solovair. I’d much rather wear the latter. Better quality is just a no brainer to me.
can u adjust the curtain like design of the shoe?? can u adjust the length if the things below the tassel
well done video 👌

Just say no to cheap shoes. No point in worrying about a replaceable sole when the cheap leather upper won’t outlast the original sole.
Idk how you use your shoes, but my uppers get messed up anyway even as I did routine maintenance with cleaning and wax.
Do you need a shoe horn to get them on or can you slip them on without hands
Shoe horn for me!
@@andrewpatra thanks I was wondering how tight they were to get on and hard to get on
How is the sizing?
I went with my boot sizing so half size down from sneakers
Loafers look so dorky

Too much of you and not enough shoe….sorry
