I've noticed watching this video back there's some graphical shimmer. This is a UA-cam encoding issue and not present in the game (or my original video tbh!)
That was a great review. Grid Legends gives me DriveClub/Project Gotham Racing vibes, my two beloved games that will probably never return. It also seems some driving model elements were taken from Project Cars 3, which has the most similar driving model to Driveclub (PC3 is really good as arcade driving model, tracks but completely fails in AI and graphics, but still awesome arcade driving experience).
Thanks for watching. That's a really interesting point about the Project Cars 3 reference and I would agree. PC3 should have just been called Project Cars Arcade. I think people would have been kinder to it.
Its handling is slightly more refined and less pointy and if you get the deluxe edition, it has more modes too. I feel like this game would be like a patch 1.8 on Grid 2019. Fixed a lot of problems but fundamentally shares the exact same DNA. Legends is the better game if you haven't bought either.
I really enjoyed the story mode (poor girl lost her leg altho you could clearly see the monocoque (?) wasn't breached). Played thru that as the initial game was available thru ultimate game pass which includes that EA thingy. I despair at all the seasons and i think this is why both Grid and Dirt have failed to sell. It doesn't matter how good they are people just want a "complete" game and those seasons tell people (whether true or not) that this isn't the case) so they hold off untill the inevitable GOTY or Ultimate version comes out later down the line.
Wiping your career progress? omg! I wish there'd always be an option for a manual save and multi at that like in the old days. Just an invisible save as you go as shown here is just not reliable enough.
@@HigherPlainGames i feel your pain: my save for the completed Horizon Zero Dawn was lost when my original ps4 broke, no cloud save for me as i hadn't realised just how huge in file terms DriveClub replays were so no room for other games! But you'd finished the game why does it matter? Well i was about to start the expansion The Frozen Wilds. I just couldn't face starting all over again and playing for 40 odd hours 😞

Terrific review. Comprehensive, detailed, well-considered points made. Thanks for this.
That's very kind to say. Thanks for watching and hope it helped you out!
I just wanna know if Deluxe Upgrade gives all four seasons
Yes it does.
How's this game compared to Grid 2019?

@@HigherPlainGames Oh cool. Enjoyed Grid 2019 but the lack of content bummed me out. Might get this in future then.

It really angers me that the problem seems to have locked me out the platinum trophy too. Frustrating.
