    Hey Rocco!
    Just bought an ‘04 1300c, and need to go through all of the maintenance requirements, and after watching several “how-to” videos, I wanted to let you know that I just liked this video and subscribed to your channel.
    It’s great how you explain the processes, have close-ups on the components, and don’t have all of the production theatrics and annoying soundtracks that some people feel are necessary.
    I liked it when you said some people don’t realize that there are 2 plugs on both sides of this bike!
    Cheers!

A friend of mine has a VTX 1800 and he put at least 4 different sets of pipes on it trying to get it to sound good but never could get it to sound worth a hoot but the 1300 sounds really good with those Vance and Hines but the cobra pipes sound better to me! Owners manual says when installing new plugs to seat washer then loosen and reseat 1/4 turn after it seats. What’s your opinion on that? I did mine that way, seemed to seat better the second time but 1/4 turn seems tight in an aluminum head.

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  3 роки тому +1

      I try not to make it complicated. The manual wants you to bring your bike into the shop. Thats how they make there money or you trade your bike in. Rocco please advise; I’m doing something wrong, installed new NGK plugs, now having engine sputter and missing in lower gears. Checked the new plugs, they seemed to have dirtied up pretty quick, tightened them a little more, but still had the problem. I put the old plugs back in, bike ran well for 3-4 rides. But today same problem has popped back up. Missing/sputtering in lower gears, also engine sound and vibration is rougher than normal, and now feels like there is less power when accelerating during a longer ride today. What should my next step be?

      Just a little but that's your call. I've never had a problem I just install them. I hate anti-seize I think it's a mess but it serves it's purpose. specially if you don't change plugs often.
