    and tearing people down on youtube for expressing themselves differently than you think they should is the purest act of humility that one can show.

    I'm an interegendered person myself. It's not that far-out of a concept. It's just the way we are.

    intactivist1, I took a peek at your channel and saw that violating childrens' rights is a concern of yours, however, I think Genesis is addressing an audience of adults and spoke to them in that context. Having said this, I am an aquaintance of his daughter and she has told me horror stories of growing up in the rockstar P-Orridge household. Maybe he is on a journey to discover what he left out of parenthood by exploring his maternal side.

    You can't discount the effects that drugs have had on Gen, maybe they didn't lead to Gen acting and thinking the way they do but I'm pretty sure the person we see today, the person who gave us Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV wouldn't be that person without the years of drug experimentation.

    You say 'formerly talented' and criticize Gen today for being who they are, it doesn't seem to me that you have heard much of Gen's work. They have always been doing things that walk the edge of whacked out weirdness and genius (personally I think that Gen is one of the most brilliant artists mankind has ever seen), look at TOPY and everything they did. Learn to hibernate.

    You probably don't really want to know what Gen did to his phallus..but if you want to, you can check out ReSearch Modern Primatives...I think it was issue 12 but I don't remember. it was years ago.

    He really comes across as a smart, but over stimulated type of person that drugs/fans and the effects of such things don't have any real effect on him any more. So he is reaching out for the next big change/experience. Changing the shell that we live in is a bit like burning down ones hut because you had an argument with your neighbour. Too many adorers over the years,too much attention, too smart. But what do Iknow.

    I like the idea; a bear dna hibernation genetic strand link up via tube insertion into the humanoid blood stream as some hibernaculum synthetic fluid, perhaps an omega 3 bear musk oil capsule, sweet medicine for lengthy interstellar journeys....

    @garethac81 From what I've read the penis is not actually removed, just heavily altered. Not every transgendered individual "chops off their penis" as you've put it, there are those born female who wish to be recognized as male, some have breast reduction surgery, which is not as harmful as just wounding oneself without real medical aid. You completely miss the point why transgendered individuals even have surgery or take hormones in the first place. You also put the word transgender in quotes?

  • @ItotallySuckDontI
    @ItotallySuckDontI 13 років тому +1

    @garethac81 That's actually a pretty bad analogy. While there are a lot of people who have no proof or diagnosis of their brain's gender identity differing from their physical gender, your conclusion of supporting those who "mutilate" their bodies in terms of physical pain does not follow. One "mutilates" for the pain and/or feelings, the other has surgery or hormone therapy for their body and/or self image. Comparing "self-harmers" to transgenderism is a red herring, or arguments just to argue.

    @garethac81 That's insulting. Being transgender - or having an undefined or intermediate gender identity - has everything to do with one's brain being mismatched to one's body and very little to do with one's character. Mental illness is a problem among those affected by these types of gender issues, but the 'clinical self-loathing' and 'mental dysfunction' are pejorative and inaccurate terms to describe it. The fact that Genesis is so upfront about it should be something to be celebrated.
