Not every transgendered individual "chops off their penis" as you've put it, there are those born female who wish to be recognized as male, some have breast reduction surgery, which is not as harmful as just wounding oneself without real medical aid. Comparing "self-harmers" to transgenderism is a red herring, or arguments just to argue.

Being transgender - or having an undefined or intermediate gender identity - has everything to do with one's brain being mismatched to one's body and very little to do with one's character. Mental illness is a problem among those affected by these types of gender issues, but the 'clinical self-loathing' and 'mental dysfunction' are pejorative and inaccurate terms to describe it. The fact that Genesis is so upfront about it should be something to be celebrated.
and tearing people down on youtube for expressing themselves differently than you think they should is the purest act of humility that one can show.
