This has given me a new perspective to listen to Sorceress.
To see how the tracks were recorded, what emotions were involved, and how overall the band and producer felt, is very important and it sets a tone and mindset for the listener

I think it's obvious that Akerfeldt is an absolute control-freak in the studio, but I think he gives his bandmates a lot of freedom in the creative, early half of the process

There's some amazing moments on Sorceress and truly emotionally raw stuff...yet It fails to satisfy me. BUT! I sooooo respect this band and Michael himself for making such a dramatic and honest change in style though, his vocals sound pub singer at best these days, the man was an immense growler but you can't expect that for forever at such the quality he once achieved.

The Wah Wah Pedal is the John Petrucci Model from Dunlop. The big silver one is a Big Muff Pi from EHX. The green one is Swollen Pickle by Way Huge. The yellow one is a DI Box from RJM (probably for reamping guitars). The black one and the purple, i have no idea. Cheers!
