I got the old lenovo 9i. It is amazing to have to screens. I would never trade it for the most expensive macbook (If I could not sell it).

And I just bought this Zenbook 14 Pro Duo UX8402VV last August. The ScreenPad+ is kinda really useful in my everyday use case. Now I will envy those that will get this one since I can't upgrade yet.
I am def getting this. Currently have ROG Flow Z13 - love it! BUT THIS Zenbook Duo COULDN'T COME AT A BETTER TIME! I've been needing a second screen! OMGOODNESS! I love how this looks!
hey same here, just ditched my xg mobile setup with my z13 few hours ago, now typing this comment using my brand new out of box ultra 9 zenbook duo.. the keyboard is REALLY GOOD.. im thinking to not using the keyboard on home setup because afraid of its degraded durability.. cause it's too good.
Something in between Zenbook 17 Fold and Zenbook Duo would be great. Both panels still at least 14in, and keyboard still at least 14 in. But just like in 17 Fold, there's no physical boundary (hinge). By default, the behavior would just be one huge screen (inspired by 17 Fold). Then, I would have an option to split it into two screens, maybe a virtual boundary. So we could keep the "sharing mode" feature. If I would do an MS Teams presentation, I would want a "dual mode" so I could just share half of my screen, and use the other panel to see my participants or even my notes. However, when I'm working/coding or watching a movie, I want that single huge screen seamlessly, without visual disruptions that you get with Zenbook Duo from sort of like connecting the two panels together.
This man would be able to sell me anything, lmao.
BTW, ASUS, make this 16" 2k with a 99WHr battery and anti reflection coating and you'll have my money instantaneously

Amazing! But I loved the Zenbook Pro 14. I hope Asus refreshes the 2024 model with Meteor lake processor, up-firing speakers and a physical camera shutter. I would get the 16 inch but didn’t like the raised keyboard. Everything else was just perfect.
OMGOMGOMG THIS IS IT FINALLY!! 🤩 an Asus laptop (my favored brand and ecosystem) that can finally go toe to toe with that Lenovo dual screen version. you have no idea how long I've been wavering back and forth between both brands because I really REALLY need multiple screen displays for work (I'm a Project Manager), I'm already using 3 screens as it is (2 external monitors in addition to the current laptop) and it's not enough 😅. it gets even worse when I'm in transit or onsite somewhere and only have my laptop to work on. so this Asus Duo 2024 version is a GODSEND 🥹😍. and is that price point for reals? can you come up with a list of price points with the different features? on the Asus website it says there's RAM versions of 16GB and 32GB and then different versions of Intel Ultra processors.
Clever, Zenbook duo is like Yoga Book 9i, but instead of keeping the seamless transition between the two screen and ability to do 360 rotation they trade it to make the laptop more convenient and easier to carry around, plus the build in kick stand is really an advantage for this kind of device 😂

Confused, does this come in a 2TB SSD variant? In Google search it says that it does but when I goto the Asus website and choose the core ultra 9 variant it only shows for up to 1TB. Which is it??
Buying this one hands down.
A more-multitasking device with slick and fresh looking but still has reliable dual screen design,
with a base price bout 1499USD which don't have to cost my arms and legs ( well maybe a half ),
shut up and take my money, now I can finally retire my 10 yr-old Asus laptop now, well played Asus.

"2 screens 3k OLED 120 hz" made me go directly in the "Battery" section that had been unfortunatly skipped. I wonder how the pc will last longer than 7 hours (which is the minimal for me a pc should have), I would've wanted some numbers, like tests, or else..
But as a developer, this form factor of pc is a game changer and has enormous potential. Excited for Asus's future in this area :)

What pressure sensitivity is the touch screen and pen?
This is perfect for trading. One screen with MT5, another with Quantower or Tradingview.
trading on an Oled is primed for burn in.
I know Asus has technology to prevent that BUT trading is mostly staring at charts. If you trade 10 hours per day those add up quite quick and burn in will happen regardless of what Asus says imo

Make one that has a detachable screen and make the Keyboard have a built in hinge that raises it up slightly instead of having it flat and you'll literally have perfection. Can't wait for a 17 inch.
Alternatively you can make it have the ability to attach the screens Horizontally side by side with a built in connection on the side sort of like the keyboard to maintain battery life and power.

I agree, that would make it perfect. Asus gives a sad explanation for not making it with a hinge that allows tent mode, but they have so many in their line up that do allow tent mode. Maybe next years version will allow for tent mode. But I can't wait. I need to replace my laptop and this will do.

ASUS is always killing it with new models that are different. This isn't ready with those crazy bezels though. However, this means Asus has a killer all-in-one supreme ultimo laptop in their labs, and when it becomes economically viable, maybe in 2 years, we'll all be loving and rejoicing in the ne.... this just in, laptops obsolete as AR glasses take over.
Dude, AR glasses ain't happening. Not only is it technologically impossible on a mass scale, but talk to an optometrist about what it would do to your eyes.
AR already has been happening, in cars (directions superimposed over camera views), glasses of various quality have been around for 15 years, and the big boys are introducing kits this year to bring it to the masses (see the xreal and meta stuff selling like hotcakes, and apple on the high end). Its here. Now as for how that effects eyesight, see what optometrists say about tvs and monitors and tell me whats different.

It's a good concept but people will be a bit nervous with the arc GPU powering the duo 3k screen at least you guys could have sneaked a dedicated GPU from amd for efficiency or at least a 4050 rtx they consume about 60 to 70 watts only and with dlss 3 and fsr3 one could game on the duo screens simultaneously how cool would that be.

no that hdmi is for fun
yes. you can connect this to a 2ndary monitor via HDMI and a docking port. there's a YT channel "Tech is why I'm broke" that tests this. it's fantastic! this laptop can give you 4 screens once the 2ndary monitors are hooked up to the HDMI and dock.
