A device at CES that's reasonably priced and actually useful? What is this world coming to
finally, a reasonable future
2k euros?
@@vzx13Gen Alpha: Hold my chocolate milk
@@004x0 yeah in the usa its 1500 dollars (1300 euros) but in europe it costs 2500 euros idk why
Okay, if this thing is seriously just 1.500,00 bucks, this is INSANE. I was already super pumped for the Lenovo Dual Screen Laptop, but it still costs more than 2.000 bucks for MUCH WORSE specs, I just couldn't justify that thing to myself. But if this thing really launches at that price... I am so taking the plunge!
Now if only it were Ryzen....
I read that as 1.5 million dollars instead of 1,500 dollars lol
At least its with the new Intel chips, that seem to be a bit of a step up over previous ones.@@BonJoviBeatlesLedZep
Sorry, german here. I actually thought I wrote it the american way, but I just confused myself again it seems xD@@anibration
I can be configured up to 32gb DDR5, 2TB SSD and Up to Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 processor with NPU
Considering there are $1200-1500 phone, here we are getting laptop on that price is really a good deal.
That's because this laptop is NOT a foldable laptop like the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold which costs $3,500 MSRP. 🤣🤣🤣
I hope more companies make a laptops like this, it’s a fantastic innovation and it’s be great to have something like this for different ecosystems.
The phone that was built like this is really good too
@@TheLinkhawkinsSurface Duo got abandoned by Microsoft.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M Sadly yes, but I still love the phone and the form factor of it. Hopefully someone picks up this form factor again in the years to come.
I would really love this laptop. The lenovo one didn't interest me too nuch because of the lack of trackpad and the stand is different. But this, this has everything built-in. I can use it whenever I want to as a normal laptop and when I am at my desk at work, I can go dual screen.
Kinda neat, especially with the kickstand. Wish you could adjust the hinge down when the keyboard isn't there
The moment when Austin took it out of the cardboard box I thought he unboxed a PS4 😂
[Slams on desk] "I need to be careful with this". Are you trying to channel Linus?
As someone that uses a fold phone this is right up my alley

Yooooo smart man! Oh I’m definitely getting this now. Looks like a nice travel laptop as long as you know you can plug it in somewhere or bring a large charge pack. Trading stocks on this, coding, working on wed sites, blogging, and some photo editing. This would be awesome!
I think the base price at 1500 is much better with lower resolution knowing both model has integrated gpus.
Are you going to do a 2024 pc build like the past couple years? I really enjoyed them and they help give me ideas for the future.
Asus is pushing this new laptop pretty hard. I also saw a product review from Linus (LTT) and Lew Later - all within a day or so.
It's because embargoes usually ends at the same time
I have prepared myself to purchase the latest Surface Pro... But this ***** got released with a 1500 price tag (pen included). Now I gotta wait more. dang
That laptop is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
If I didn't have a gaming PC, I'd buy that
When will it be available in the market? Anyone?
Thx for sharing.....just picked up this and the Yoga Book. The Yaga book displays looked better to me. Plus the monotony of the ALL black color scheme just killed it for me. The Yoga Book looks much nicer in the polished blue. I love Asus but the Duo looks like every other black laptop on the market. Lol......this a slightly different concept and one that Lennovo should highlight aesthetically.
Can you believe this is cheaper than the galaxy fold 5, that's wild
How the fuck is that wild??
This is a DUAL-SCREEN laptop.
NOT a foldable laptop like the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold. 🤣🤣🤣
@@PSYCHOV3N0M I'm not comparing the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold....
I'm saying that a dual screen laptop, which is much larger and more powerful, is cheaper than the SAMSUNG galaxy fold 5 phone (Which is so much smaller). Yes the fold5 phone is a single screen but the price difference between phones and laptops is wild!
@@PSYCHOV3N0Mbrain
I'm convinced this is the future of laptops
I take a second screen when I travel, and many hotels have tiny desks so it's a problem to use. This completely solves the problem. I kinda wish the monitors would separate so I could draw on one while using the laptop, but I'ma gonna just shut up about that because it's already DAYAM! I got a 2021 Zephyrus G14 that I thought would last me 5 years, but I might get this. I just built a new gaming desktop so I dedicated the G14 to business so I don't need it for gaming, which it did OK (Starfield played very well on medium settings, which I attribute to only 6GB RAM on the 3060). I'd definitely find a way to buy this, especially 32GB RAM. The 16GB in the G14 is sometimes insufficient, and with 8GB soldered in, raising it above 16GB means losing dual channel for at least part of it, negating much of the benefit of more.
The lack of dedicated GPU is my problem. I have the zen book Pro duo 14” and I mistakenly got it with the integrated graphics and it makes a difference.
why did all the reviews for this drop at the same time lol
Embargo is lifted
You and Linus are having a bit of an embargo war this week
The 7 version that officially got released for pre order today doesn't have the 120hz, 3k screens. Only the 9 does
Its a shame outside U.S you dont get the backpck, mouse, pen in the box.
ds or 3ds emulation on this thing should be super cool
Best ad for a laptop I've ever seen.
Do we have the option to turn off the second display when detaching the keyboard? I prefer the laptop aligned with our eyesight
This with ROG XG Mobile! or a flow fold series because why not? zephyrus duo and zenbook screens have worked together before anyway and technology transfer does no harm!
Asus could adopt Frore Systems's Airjet cooling to cramp more powerful hardware in this laptop, as for the OLED screen, it is an ideal for content creators to showcase
their works.
1500$ for this is absolutely insane, how with 2 screens it is 1500. I would love to have one in BD. But if it comes in Bd it will be at least 4000$ by startech and Ryan.
What about the most important thing THE BATTERY?!
Normal people heard 6 fingers: okay 3 + 3.
Austin: let me do 5 + 1 😂😂😂
As a digital artist, it would be amazing if the bottom display could be touchscreen for a stylus.
it is
@@MobilniReziser o damn, might have to cop it when it's on sale
it is touchscreen, and comes with a stylus, this is honestly an amazing laptop
For myself a 12.5 or 13in would be better size, but the fact this exists at all is a great thing.
I hope this will be an amazing editing laptop
Zenbook hitting all the cuties today
3ds emulation would be insane on this thing
What is battery life likein each of these modes?
How does it behave with Ubuntu? What doesn't work?
Humans see wide not tall. Even having this side by side because it is tall instead of wide isn’t great. If they could build a hinge so they could go wide instead, I would buy this in a sec.
I will buy one in the 2024 holiday season and ... return it at the beginning of 2025 🙂
No RYZEN variant, no second thought.
that is a cool looking tab/laptop
No calculator Trackpad is kinda a miss, this is almost perfect for trading
You can possible edit it and have your own lay out well have to see
Im a trade my self and i mean for a laptop on the go and being able to have 2 screens but not forced to and lets not forget that juicy price
Lenovo did that last year if I remembered.
Why everyone talking about this laptop?
Because these companies are paying these youtubers to just record straight ads for them. That's why there's multiple videos for the same device in your subscriptions feed and they're all just an ad.
To be less cynical, Asus didn't want a bevy of Tech Tubers molesting their new product and clogging up their stand at CES (which is frankly aimed at more mainstream outlets) and they sent it out with basically "CES rules" attached (behave like if you are at a real booth, don't deconstruct it, don't bench mark it and - in return - you get more time with it)
Because it is an innovative product.
And ASUS doesn't want Apple fanboys lying about their products.
This is why Mr. MKBHD didn't get one.
You will get your laptop yoinked if you did that in a cafe
I can't afford it but it is an amazing design. great review.
just wait for black friday
Its reasonable
Excuse the cursing, but that's fucking sick
That looks so cool
This is amazing 🙂
I really only care about the wireless keyboard and track pad , do they sell that separately lol👀
Linus Tech Tips posted like 10 minutes before this one about the same computer
Okay 3 videos in 2 days I like 👍
Linus Sebastian had a look at this.
Is it available on the market?
I'd sell my soul for one of these.
A giant Nintendo DS !
how is a backpack excessive? SMH just be appreciative.
This is better than MacBook M3 Air
asus pais a lot of moeny forr us to see this laptop today
The fact that the video is 9.11 minutes long 💀💀
My pc I pretty much permanently stuck in blue screen of death. Saved up so much and no matter what I do it’s gone after 3 years 😢 anyone know what to do?
Warning, Warning, iTroll Alert.
Not sure why you feel the need to lie for attention.
Did mommy not give you enough hugs?
Also only Apple users say "PC".
People who actually own a "PC" use the name of the brand.
@@RK-um9tu why are u being rude I’m telling the truth. My build is a ryzen 5 3600 1650. Why did u mention parents😂 clearly I’m more loved than u when u like to kick people when they are down.
Remove harddisk nd plug it somewhere else bro
Okay, but can it be a 3DS?
How many just straight ADS are you guys planning to do before CES is over? Are you that broke?
No Wii U or DS emulators SMH...
So… can it run Adobe Premiere?
Did they break into LTT for this? The ASUS marketing team get around.
"Turn off second display for better battery" then why buy the laptop lol
Can you play ds games on it
1,500 bucks for that. NOT BAD
I wanna get my hands on this
I think I want a normal laptop instead :)
Interesting
Too bad Linus was the first to review this.
As if anyone cares...
I wanna see someone emulate DS or 3DS games on this.
Exactly what I was thinking
I completely agree with Austin's last sentence. I've never been that interested in the dual screen laptops or even touch screen laptops at all because for me the laptop form factor just works really well but this genuinely looks really fantastic and if it does come out with that $1,500 price tag I might be tempted to buy my first Windows computer in a while.
Windows has 80% laptop market share AND 99.9% of small business, corporations, educaitonal institutions, government agencies, and nonprofit across the planet use Windows laptops. So Intel and Microsoft don't really care about you or Austin's out-of-touch opinions...
I was not interested in this laptop until you made the virtual keyboard pop up lol that was actually really cool lookin to me. Gave me Tony Stark vibes. A glass future.
Yes but uses more battery
Well, as for the downsides, the hinge cannot be folded 360º (only 180º), so it cannot be used in tablet mode (for those of us who work standing and on the move with a computer, it's not suitable) or tent mode. Additionally, the sound from the speakers is quite shoddy, and when it's in book mode, the two screens are unbalanced, as it leans more on one side than the other. In that regard, the rear stand (although it assembles faster - 5 seconds faster - compared to the origami stand of the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i) is quite inferior. Besides, the Asus is a bit of a monstrosity in height, with a keyboard or without, and quite ugly (comparatively speaking). In landscape mode, the top screen vibrates too much when tapping it with fingers. I'm afraid the hinge is weaker than the Lenovo one. Regarding the keyboard, it is good and comes with a trackpad. This didn't matter much to me with the Lenovo (that the keyboard came without a trackpad) because, firstly, it could be placed on the lower screen, and a total trackpad from side to side appeared. If I buy a touchscreen, it's because fingers do everything the trackpad does better and faster. On the contrary, Asus screens are 14" instead of 13.3", with an option for 3K. On the small screens above the virtual keyboard, there are more application options; it has more connectivity (with HDMI, USB-A, and Jack, which Lenovo doesn't have, and personally, I haven't used for a long time as cables tangled and bothered me), and the processor is faster (although the new Lenovo Yoga Book 9i from CES 2024 has already matched it), as well as memory and storage options. In Spain, for now, there is only one pre-order option for €2599 (32GB of memory and 2TB SSD with a 3K resolution), although it seems that more economical options will be available (lower screen resolution, less memory, and less SSD).
I see the Lenovo more for students, teachers, multimedia consumption, office work, and browsing, while the ASUS is more for design, gaming, video editing, and some professional tasks.
As always, each person should think about what they want a computer for and choose accordingly.
Ken is genius for that coffee shop setup
If this can game well, then this is the portable setup of my dreams.
It doesn’t have a dedicated GPU
@@CricketEngland heard of an egpu lad
@@CricketEngland ah that sucks :
@@schizofennec from my experience eGPUs kinda suck
@@schizofennec gaming on an egpu laptop chip lol. good luck.
It's pretty disappointing It's not an AMD apu
I am a radiologist. This is perfect for giving initial readings on the go.
Alternatives: laptop and external monitor.
Suggestions for improvement: maybe a horizontal fold would be more functional.
Please correlate clinically.
"Please correlate clinically" hahaha
Woaw Its like Yoga Book 9i with Dual Screen Laptop!!! So Many Alternatives Nowadays!!! 👍🏻😃👍🏻
Prediction, this is the same laptop as unbox Therapy has in his vid that was posted minutes before
I was right
And Linus
Almost as if the CES embargo was the same for everyone
You mean he does videos that aren't cell phone related?
Its going to be like this all week. With CES, all the blackouts are over and these vids were all made weeks/months ago.
1:35 to 1:45 had me rolling 😂
Only Thing I do not get is why not make it 360degree foldable? The setup is perfect for it and it would turn it from a really great laptop idea to an immediate buy for me.
having 2 touch screens that I can use in pyramid mode or even tablet mode would be perfect, for work as well (i.e. showing something to a colleague when no screen is available or even F2F co-working on something...)
Maybe 2025 😢
Yall are still watching right now.
I can see myself using this at the office or at home when I want a second screen. The thing for me is that I have a dual screen setup with a separate monitor at home and at my office. My second screen is 27 inches. So I don't know where this might fit in with me personally. I would probably use it in normal laptop mode on a plane or in a coffee shop. This is why I love my Zenbook Duo with an extra half screen. It's always in regular laptop mode and yet I always have a second screen. But for content creators, I can see this being awesome.
But will it play doom?
So, it's like 2 tablets with a hinge.... And a skinny lightweight (probably membrane) keyboard? Know what... I honestly kind of like it.
looks great for 3ds emulation
Here's a idea, DS/3DS emulator on this laptop🤯
I like how you think
@@fracturedfuture370 I did it with my Fold 5 and I'll be honest I love it😍
This one sends Lenovo back to the pavilion, in cricket terms. $1500 is very reasonable.
Didn’t LENOVO already do this?
lenovo did it first and its much better
Thanks for sharing all those reason why Lenovo is better🤣😂🤣
Can it be used for a proper 3DS emulation?
Can't wait to get myself one. For $1,500 this is dirt cheap compared to other productivity laptops
They said FROM $1500. I think that will be without accessories and probably 256gb ssd😅
