Incredible touch and feel dude!!! Btw, are those chromes?
@@YetAnotherProg thank you, glad you enjoyed it! they're some very heavy LaBella flats :)
I love the “skipping” feel to the bass line in this tune. Nice cover, hope it was as fun to play as it was to listen to!
@@SimonBrisbane yesssirski, the flute lines in the second verse also make it so bouncy!
Straight into the "Man i wish i were good enough to play this" folder
Awesome playing! can't wrap my head around how to mute like this
its all in the left hand my brother
thank you! and yes, what Felippe said! working on your left hand muting will help you get there, especially making sure your fingers are always close to the strings and not flying all over the place. but it's really a feel thing, after a while you'll find yourself just muting everything a lot better.
Thanks, this is really helpful. Muting has been my problem with no solution, so good to hear there’s a way.
@@ookpickable5409 i wish i had some more concrete tips, but i'm sure some of the many great bass teaching channels have good stuff on the topic! i just know that for me, when my fingers stay close to the strings, they just naturally mute the strings whenever they're not playing.
@@justsomebasslines thanks, this is really helpful. It’s interesting, advanced muting techniques is one area where I haven’t found the information on most bass channels to be that useful. Knowing that it’s in the left hand tells me what I need to work on (and that it’s not just something about my bass). My fingers do still tend to fly around, so it’s probably all part of just getting more skilled. Thanks again!
Sweet dude, thank you.
Thanks for this. For what is essentially a straight four song (and one of my current favourites), this is such a melodic and rhythmically interesting line. It just bubbles away underneath, and it's only when you look at it closely do you realise how sophisticated it actually is. Magic.
sam is a machine, and so as you my boss 🙏 this bass line is killing me XD
excited for this album! great job as always
me too! thanks for watching!
My hero - thanks a million 🙌
thanks for watching
just when you think you're getting better
the Sam Wilkes effect! i always feel the same way when i start on his lines
I don’t dare try this one
@@ookpickable5409 you should try, you might surprise yourself :)
Wonderful! I kinda thought it was in the key of A
