- Just in time, to present the Certina Ds-2 Chronograph automatic.
A legendary watch, reissued after the iconic Ds-2 Chronolympic, the watch worn by Yuichiro Miura on mount everest.

Swatch Group is offering some crazy value with its automatic chronographs. Great piece.
Great, indeed! :) Cheers, Phil!
I was offered a 25% discount on the Longines Big Eye yesterday ( steel) which brings its price down to around £2000 GBP. Crazy good value for this watch.. they even have some of the Spirit Chronographs on discount too.
У SEIKO автоматические хронографы ещё дороже.
Well done Certina...again.
Unreal video quality and production value! What a way to show off this beautiful piece!
Massive fan of Certina and I am glad you cover many of these underrated watches on your channel.
Great to see Certina coming out with this, lovely piece.
Awesome video, with some gorgeous watches! I love the stainless steel and blue version with all the bright accents!
Cheers Jordan! I love that version as well :D
Wow cool watch and story, big & beautiful 😍
Cheers, Lars! :)
Certina has a very interesting and tasteful catalog and as very well showed, a rich History. That ski-down alone is madly fantastic. Definitely a good brand to consider.
Beautiful watch with a famous background story which while it may not be as iconic as other over hyped priced rival models. Superb camera work Sir , and this looks like great value with such a great history. Another great presentation from the man.
Super kind words as usual! thank you very much!! :)
An amazing chronograph from a great brand shown to great effect in your beautiful video. Cheers!
A real beauty. I was looking at the "Longines Big Eye" yesterday and now you do this to me !! Get thee behind me Satan !
Hahahah! Big eye, a solid piece, well balanced! I love it :) Cheers, Eric!
Love the watch! Certina just makes amazing watches at great prices what’s not to like!
Beautiful chronograph, and I love the old school design but its too big for me with 42,5. Great content.
Lovely looking watch, especially the blue version. I had a DS Podium a while back which was quite nice but this one beats it hands down. Thanks for the review.
Cheers, Nathan! :) I have to try a podium, that's for sure
Excellent review of a handsome watch that surprisingly comes in a really nice size.
absolutely stunning! l need this watch asap !
Amazing heritage of this brand and nice reissues paying respect to the ancestors! Nice vid as usual!
Good looking watches, especially the blue one...
Certina has been bringing the heat lately.
Thanks for reviewing certina, not much on certina in the United States but love there ds2 cushion case and there ds action divers
I am becoming as well, a fan of the ds-2 platform, with these releases.
I've watched that movie 😮 Great looking watch 👍
Haha! Very nice!! I found it on youtube! I have to finish it.
I really like the blue dial version. Great video
It's a good looking piece, indeed :)
I watched some of your older videos months ago before I started my own channel and I can really see the effort and quality of your videos improve so much mate. People need to realise there is so much effort going into videos, even when it doesn’t reach the so called high standards of very popular channels. Keep it up and I look forward to more of your videos 🎉😊

What can I say? Certina strikes back!
I have the cushion (or tonneau) only time… and it is already attractive. This is definitely a level up.
.. and great video (as usual)
Certina has done a lot of things right in recent years. After the DS Action Diver in Titanium and the DS+ Concept the next hit, at least for me. And Brave Beaters had them all 😃, thanks for that.Unbelievable, how undervalued the brand still is.If money would't be an issue, I'd get them all. At least I have a ds+ set 🙂
These are quite cool and I did not know about the Everest skiing link. I am glad you take a look at Certinas, because they do not get enough attention. It does not help here in the U.S. that we only barely have a couple of dealers and only just in the last couple years (I believe Hodinkee was first). I think the blue one is reminiscent of the recent TAG Heuer Carrera Montreal limited edition, but I do not know which historical watch came first. It does not matter to me though, as they both look great. I think I would prefer the Certina in this case. I have a 7.25" (18.4cm) wrist, so I would be curious to see how this wears. It also reminds me a bit of the Tissot Heritage 1973 chronograph in case style, which I have only seen once and did not have time to ask to try it on. I would love to see a bracelet option on these models too.
A great design, a great watch. Thanks for sharing.
I would have preferred the hour and minute hands were not highly polished (they ‘disappear’ at certain angles) and either brushed or painted instead, which would also add to the tool watch aesthetic. Unfortunately, my wrists are not large enough to carry off the dimensions. 😔
Same, would had loved some white hands or matted / blasted. And sizing, yup...
Seiko also emphasized their turtle line. Wonder who pioneered the first turtle 🧐
Seeing this wonderful bi-compax DS-2 automatic chrono, I am nervous to see how Certina will update the DS Action Diver Automatic Chronograph... 🤓🤓🤓
I took a look at the shop, it is definitely a beautiful watch... I only wonder if the non screw-down crown (as far as I could see) is compatible with 200mt pressure resistance 🤔
COOL
My mother-in-law gave me her husband's ds2 from the early 70s. It sat in a drawer for over 40 years as he passed in 1978.
It functions just fine. However, I began using it and it quickly became difficult to wind, dried lube, dry seals?
Who do you recommend I send it to for cleaning and repair?
Stunning watch. Blue model is just as striking and unique as any Omega. Question though ( I am probably noob ): the minute chrono dial has marked 10, 20, 30 and 45 minutes. But how do you know when its at 45 minutes? It looks like past 30 its again from 1, so how do you tell if 32 minutes passed or just 2?
Great video! Can the chronograph be used underwater??? That would be impressive. The pushers don't have a screw down feature.
have you ever thought about reviewing certina DS pilot I was looking at it but there arent any reviews about it
Me gusta más que la mayoría de los Oris
Size a little bit big for 6.5” wrist size?
They definitely should have made it with 3 chapters/Totalisatoren instead of only 2 💁
Is too big for my wrist:(
I like the watch very much and especially the blue dial with the colored accents reminds me h immediately of the 70s.
What I do not like at all that the clock has no closed case with the turtle on the back.
This does not fit so at all so the vintage vibs and therefore I will buy the clock ni ht - too bad actually.
Ils auraient dû faire plus gros
I’m a fan of Certina but this watch is again a no for the size. In the last two years is doing quite great in my opinion though it needs to refine a bit in sizes and little details like ceramic bazel. This year is looks that is going in the totally wrong direction. This is a watch that could be perfect in that prize range if only was a 40mm.
Too big
