    It hurts so much to me because i may not be the longest Comic fan, but i was a intense Comic fan.
    I only started *reading* Comics in 2010 (but i did watch Hero shows such as Spider-Man, Batman, Justice League and the other 90‘s - early 2000 hero shows on TV) because i first ever heard about and saw the hero Black Panther and i wanted to know more about him, but since BP was rather unpopular back in 2010 and you had a *HARD* time finding any info on him on the Internet. The best solution? Comics! From there i started not just watch the shows on TV, watch the movies and playing the games, i started to read comics and everything changed.
    His creation, the stories of the Heroes i read and overall made me to the man i am today and i am very greatful for that. I miss him very much and my biggest regret is that i never managed to meet him once because i live in Switzerland.

    I will not forget about you, I will not shed tears of sadness for you, and I will be happy. I always wanted to meet you, you really were an idol of mine. Since I was five or six I always remembered seeing you in movies, I questioned who that guy always was showing up here and there until some of my family members told me that you were the creator of a beautiful universe full of the most vibrant heroes imaginable, especially heroes that I grew up idolizing and falling in love with. But the more I read and researched about you, the more I got to understand what a powerful force of inspiration you are. Since I could remember, my sister would always rent DVD’s of the 90’s X-Men tv show and I fell in love with the books, the movies, the cartoons, the shows, everything. Even though the cameos meant something to me, I still loved you without them. I don’t know what else to say besides the fact that you have inspired me and still are inspiring me to do great things while still growing up (note that I’m still a young/snarky 15 year old). In my darkest moments I would read comic books and watch a movie about what you created. You made me smile and be happy, Stan. That and you’ve made generations smile as well. To those who say “goodbye Stan Lee” or “I’m gonna miss you” or “I’m crying”, don’t do or say anything like that because he would’ve wanted us to be happy, not sad. Don’t cry tears of sadness, cry tears of joy. Don’t cry that it’s over, be glad that it happened. You (Stan) are a legend and a hero that deserves to rest, you’re mission to make others happy was accomplished, and you’re legacy will never be forgotten, and YOU will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace, you did good Stan.

He wanted to make things that people cared about, that made a lasting impression on the world. Take a look anywhere today and you can see he succeeded. The whole obituary thing is really poetic. I love his passion. You can tell when someone is passionate about what they're doing. Lot's of times people come on talk shows and they seem lifeless, like they're promoting a product that they don't truly believe in just for the sake of cash. But you can see Stan Lee get actually excited, and you can see the passion, and care he has for the art.

    • @tapandabrai
      @tapandabrai 5 років тому +19

      Yeah, even DC fans hated JL. That's why I love Man of Steel. They attempted to make Superman relatable. They attempted to humanise him. MoS's Superman was a different take from the classic Superman we all know. Sadly, it got mixed reactions...

    • @SteveSegovia
      @SteveSegovia 5 років тому +8

      Yeah, Superman is totally that... but Supes is a great contrast to Batman and Lex Luthor. Humans who despite their lack of power choose to play in the same field as gods. A metaphor for human ambition to achieve great (even impossible) heights.
      Meanwhile Superman has all this power, but he is far from perfect. Supes just wants to be human and live a normal life. Dude never gets a break. He is always busy saving the world. Like the myth of Sisyphus pushing up that rock. It's his purpose.
      Superman is a savior to everyone but himself. He can't have his parents, and he can't just enjoy dinner with his family.
      Same with Dr. Manhattan, a man so powerful --yet he is trapped in the past, present, and future. He cannot escape. He know what has and what will happen. He is just experiencing it all at once. He seems in control, but isn't.

    • @TrinidadSuperman
      @TrinidadSuperman 5 років тому +1

      flibbittygibbitt all the stuff you complained about are stupid. Superman from his early iterations was always him saving Lois. Damn near all the time. Lois WAS his biggest motive. Only later did he turn into this more Jesus like being. Then with zod he only killed him when he realized zod wasn’t going to stop and wasn’t going to change. And in BVS who got bombed that he couldn’t save? Zack did a good job it was WB that rushed all the projects in trying to compete with marvel. Superman’s arc was genuine and natural. JL was supposed to be a 2020 release that go bumped up to 2017. WB rushed it not zack

In every marvel movie I'm always expectantly waiting for him to appear and I'm always one of those people in the theatre who shout "it's Stan Lee!". I admire both of these men with the utmost respect. Stan is, and always will be, an absolute legend. He is the greatest modern story-teller, he has created a mythological legacy, as the great ones of history did before him.
    And i admire Conan because he’s quite possibly the most human of all the talk show hosts active today. He’s by far my favourite, he knows how to be comedic without needing to be repetitive or vulgar. He’s a genuine man, who’s worked all his life, and despite how he may act, he truly has a kind heart, both of them do.
