Yuri Polunin (1913-1982) was a Russian/Soviet Composer. For many years he taught at the children's music school. A. N. Skryabin No. 23 of Moscow. He is known, as the author of a number of piano compositions of the pedagogical repertoire, which were repeatedly published in the USSR as part of various collections; a collection of pieces by Polunin for piano solo "Children's Album" (Moscow: Soviet composer, 1986) was posthumously published.
