Not much can be said about the great Robbie Mc Mahon that has not already been said. He was a larger than life character, song writer, singer and lilter. He had wonderful humour and one of his special qualities was the encouragement he gave to young and shy singers at sessions. He just loved to sing and listen and people who came across him will never forget his wit and good humour. He was always available where ever there was a sing song, party or session. There is no doubt that Robbie was a huge influence to young singers and was influential to the starting of the many singing sessions throughout the county.
Robbie passed away in 2012 aged 86 R.I.P.
