We were blessed to have the prophet attend our sacrament meeting Sept 2018 when he was here for a Lds gathering at Safeco Field Seattle. I’ll never forget the spirt I felt in our chapel that day. Love was flowing, pouring out from him.

I think it was Elder Holland who said the best smell in the chapel is cigarette smoke. I guess he meant that even if you smoke, come to church! You'll only gain strength and support until you are able to quit. Good luck! Don't ever stop trying and keep coming to church.
What counts more is of what is in your heart with love in ministering. Do good things and the smoking won't matter in the end. At the right time, you will know and be able to quit. Be of good cheer!

This message kind of reminds me of the message the Prophet Joseph was trying to convey when he met with the then priesthood of the church in a small log cabin in 1830.

I would love to meet this man... I know that he is a prophet of God. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. I met President Nelson along with Sister Nelson, I shook his hand and looked into his pale blue eyes, it was a blessed moment.
He and all the people he touched reached out and touched me, and I wasn't even there.
