Could you even count how many times you’ve replayed this campaign? I cant😂 maybe like 14 years of replaying I’ve done. And I still love to play it🙏🏻 really shows how 343 could take notes on just all the aspects of this game
@@jamB2007 Dude same I've been playing Halo for years probably 14 years as well even now I still play it Halo will always have a special place in my heart
+XenoKaiju Agreed. I feel like video game composers these days always strive for an "epic" feel. They don't seem to put nearly as much effort in subtle, and quirky music with some personality. That's what I absolutely treasure in Marty O'Donnell's Halo soundtracks.
9:58. That point would always get me hyped up, especially if your playing on legendary facing the large amount of Brutes. Me and my son would be playing co-op on xbox360s and now on XB1s.

+XenoKaiju I don't think Marty would really fit since many modern day films are fast, flashy and uninspired/unoriginal. Sure the effects and stuff are better. But Marty on the other hand, prefers to be genuinely creative. That's not to say that Hanz Zimmer is not nice, for if referencing The Transformers movies. He requires more time to work things out. Whilst I think someone like Hanz Zimmer is better at replicating a set emotion for a score. Which is what mostly counts in scoring a movie, for the vibe to match what is happening on screen. I think he goes further in trying experimental ways of making music. His background if you didn't know, or a large part of his musical interests revolve around progressive rock and experimental varieties of music. I hope I helped you understand, or I mean I may be just conjecturing to some extent. But I feel as if Marty does what Marty feels is most creative. To be shoe-horned into a contract is not fun for him.
Love how you arranged all the tracks from the game's perspective rather than the soundtrack's. I always find it annoying when you buy soundtracks for games and they only include modified versions rather than the original or both versions together. Tsavo Highway's tracks are beyond words.
That's because game tracks are "active" where parts can be looped to extend run time. To make a soundtrack you have to "freeze" them into place and in a reasonable timeframe.
You don't absolutely have to though, as this uploader has shown here. At the minimum at least mix or freeze the tracks in such a way as to resemble the original dynamic track soup we heard as an addition to the official releases. It feels disingenuous to not do this because many customers buy music that is not as it was heard with no warning, and in many cases enjoyable parts of the audio are missing entirely. It would probably be more of an issue if the portion of people that bought game-soundtracks was much larger.

benmarshall801 I have obtained the sound files from Halo 3 and I believe you are missing a file that plays between The Broken Path and To Kill a Demon. It sounds identical to Top of the Pyramid from Halo, but without the high strings. For some reason it can only be heard if the mission is started at Rally Point Alpha.
I noticed that too while playing through the game to put these together. It's the same as Final barrier. These tracks are meant to simulate a playthrough from the beginning so I kept it at the end.

I have no idea either. When I first heard the track, I was literally awestruck at how unconventional that music was. Like how could Marty even think of something that abstract as that? When my mother heard what I was talking about, she said maybe it was inspired from crickets' chirping lol
