It's also less wobbly when recording attached on vehicle and zoom factor is higher. But in everything else (color, texture, flash, etc.) Mi 8 is a no brainer. P20 Pro should always use night mode in low light, its auto mode is not adequate. With AI disabled, it's also too flat. Most (or all) of its photos are also underexposed.

I'm not sure, but all phones I've compared to MI8 on Gsmarena on night mode are worst, including here the newest S10+ and the MI9. Samsung images are super oversharpened with much more noise. Should of actually showcased the 3x and 5x zoom of the p20 pro, don't just compare the features that both of the devices have to see what's best there. Always show the unique features of both the devices. Otherwise good video

They are both fine. i have the mi 8 and my wife the p20 pro. The image quality is a little bit better on the p20 pro but the bokeh effect on the pro is in a different league. When you want to use bokeh on the mi u have to use the portait mode wich is incredibly slow and works from 1 to 5 metres. With the pro you can change the focus easily after you took the picture..Always and no limitations. So the picture quality is about the same but the pro camera is has much more flexibility.
During voice test you should said something and have a person about 1-2 meters say something. This way we could know which is better for vloging in noisy environments.
In all auto mode sure as you can see, MI 8 looks better than P20. But, what's the truth is P20 can maximize it's potential if you use the manual camera setup, especially when low light condition. So if you're into simple setup camera you should choose for MI 8, but if you're a pro so that P20 Pro is for you, beside the Pro on P20 Pro stands for.
For night shot mi8 like to overexpose the light making the image brighter whereas P20 pro is more realistic to the eye. For quick snapshot i go for mi8 at it always make sure your image is brighter at night!
